Acting on a report regarding an incident in the Jockeys’ Room after the running of this race, the Panel of Stewards opened an inquiry and took evidence from Jockeys HS Gill (THE JEWELLER), J Daniel (NAPOLEON) and SU Lim. Jockey HS Gill, the rider of THE JEWELLER pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he misconduct himself by pushing Jockey J Daniel in an aggressive manner in the Jockeys’ Room. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month, effective from 23rd January 2022 and to expire on 22nd February 2022, both dates inclusive and was informed of his right of appeal.
