Promising galloper WILLOW SPRINGS returns to home turf and looks set to atone in the 1100m Class 4 event at Penang on Sunday.
WILLOW SPRINGS is building a handy record with two wins and one placing from five starts since debuting in May last year. The four-year-old was spelled after that unplaced debut run but has shown rapid improvement in four starts this preparation for trainer Sharee Hamilton.
WILLOW SPRINGS dominated a 1200m Class 4 contest here on Christmas day, scoring by 3.5 lengths. The gelding made up good ground against a competitive lineup in KL last start, finishing fifth place in the 1300m Max Two Stakes with 59kg.
The New Zealand-bred performer will carry the same weight on Sunday and should prove hard to beat for jockey S Salee.
