Progressive galloper KANTHAKA appears set to atone for his last defeat when he steps out in the 1200m Pluto Handicap at Ipoh on Saturday.
KANTHAKA has been a revelation for Selangor based trainer Cheng Han Yong since making his local debut in November last year. The four-year-old arrived with a record of 13 unplaced runs in Singapore but has displayed rapid improvement by posting four successive wins from six Malaysian starts since crossing the causeway.
KANTHAKA has been freshened up since finishing third in KL over 1500m on March 13. The New Zealand-bred gelding is a fast beginner and should take plenty of catching at his first start on the Ipoh circuit.
