Last start winner GURNEY DRIVE is on target for back-to-back wins when he lines up in the 1600m Class 5 contest at Penang on Sunday.
GURNEY DRIVE had a relatively slow start to his career with seven unplaced performances prior to finishing a close second here on February 29. The four-year-old underwent a change of ownership and provided his new trainer Ananthen Kuppan with immediate success when the gelding led throughout in soft going over 1700m here a fortnight ago.
GURNEY DRIVE attracted market support in winning that day and strikes similar opposition in his quest to notch successive victories on his home track.
