Trainer Glen Kotzen picked up both Juvenile features on Durban July Day at Hollywoodbets Greyville and he looks likely to add the Listed Port Elizabeth Gold Cup over 3200m at Fairview on Friday to his tally.

His charge, the filly Flower Of Saigon, was impressive in the warmup for this race when storming past Gavin Smith-trained runners Ancient Times and Find Me Unafraid in a Pinnacle Stakes over 2700m at this track last month. She should relish the extra 500m of this contest.

The Flower Alley filly only found talented stable companion Follow The Star too good earlier this season in the Lakewood Handicap (Non-Black Type) over 2400m in her only other start at Fairview, so she clearly likes this track.

Flower Of Saigon had eight of her rivals in this race behind her when she won at Fairview last time and as that was that a Pinnacle Stakes, she did not pick up a penalty for that triumph so the opposition will really have to hope she has an off day.

Trainer Andre Nel has a decent strike rate when raiding the Eastern Cape and although Anse Lazio was carded to make a comeback in that race but was withdrawn. However, if fit and well after an extended break he could prove the biggest threat to the Kotzen-trained filly.

This Australian-bred gelding has shown ability throughout his career and could like this marathon trip.

It could be a day to be with the Western Cape-trained raiders.

Rafiki (Nel) in Race 3 looks hard to oppose while Global Forests (Kotzen) in Race 5 looks a big runner.

Other Nel-trained runners to keep an eye out for are Policy Target (Race 6), Auld Mug (Race 8) and Birdie And Bogie in Race 9.
