PRIDE’S SHADOW TO SHINE

Five-year-old gelding REDWOOD SHADOW looks a winning chance second-up in the $55,000 BM72 Handicap over 1600m from Warwick Farm racecourse, Australia on Wednesday.

REDWOOD SHADOW is at his fourth start for trainer Joe Pride after being formerly trained by Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr). Though he is yet to win after a stable change, he has been far from disgraced, missing the money just once which was last start when first-up.

In a blanket finish, he was 0.44 lengths off the winner in fourth, and he should be coming on leaps and bounds this week and looks a key player under William Pike.

FOLLOW MAHER, EUSTACE 3YO FILLY

Progressive filly ENZINA can score two wins in a row in the $40,000 Class 1 Handicap over 1000m from Hawkesbury, Australia on Thursday.

Following a sixth place on debut in a $75K 2YO race for trainers Waterhouse & Bott in December last year, ENZINA was transferred to Ciaron Maher & David Eustace’s yard. ENZINA resumed on 22 September and smashed her maiden in the best way possible, drawing away by over a length.

ENZINA’S early gate speed will hold her in good stead to score back-to-back wins on Thursday, despite the rise in class.
