REVITUP AT ASCOT

Smart filly REVITUP can atone for a last-start defeat when she steps out in the $80,000 Ratings 78+ Handicap over 1200m from Ascot.

REVITUP resumed from a three-month spell at this track and distance on 12 November, finishing a solid runner-up on that occasion. From barrier 7, jockey William Pike took up the lead and tried to make all, however fitness may have told late as they were caught over concluding stages and beaten by a 1.25-length margin. Up against a small and moderate field, REVITUP looks on track to bounce back to her winning ways.

PEG CHASES TWO ON END

Quality four-year-old ABOVE THE PEG can score two wins on end in the $80,000 Ratings 78+ Handicap over 1600m at Ascot on Saturday.

ABOVE THE PEG has built a smart record of five wins from 12 starts with a further two placings to his name. The Blackfriars gelding was last seen winning his first race for his current preparation, mapping midfield and coming with a big run late to score narrowly but impressively. He now rises to the mile, where he is one-from-one, and is favoured to continue his winning ways.

ANGEL TO BREAK THROUGH

Three-year-old filly HELLO ANGEL looks on track to land her first career win in the $23,500 Maiden race over 1000m at Toowoomba racecourse this Saturday.

HELLO ANGEL has shown improvement this preparation, finishing in the money twice from her last three starts. Most recently, the Hellbent filly finished a close second at this track and distance when she settled off the speed and let down well to miss by a head.

This week, HELLO ANGEL strikes a highly winnable race, where most of her rivals have shown little thus far, so it appears a golden chance for her to break through under jockey Nathan Fazackerley.
