DEMOCRACY TO RULE OVER RANDWICK

Thriving four-year-old DEMOCRACY MANIFEST can continue his winning ways when he steps out in the $150,000 Benchmark 88 Handicap over 1600m from Randwick Racecourse, Australia, on Saturday,

DEMOCRACY MANIFEST has been a massive improver since joining the stables of champion trainer Chris Waller in April this year. Though he didn’t disgrace when under the care of Cody Nestor prior, winning one from five but at provincial tracks, the Flying Artie gelding has won four from nine with Waller, measuring up on the city tracks and rising through the grades. Last start DEMOCRACY MANIFEST was an eye-catching winner at this track, coming from well back in the run over 1400m to scoot clear by just over a length.

With the ceiling seemingly yet to be reached, the in-form gelding will be favoured to continue his winning ways under top jockey James McDonald.

RIVER WILD FOR BUCKETS

Talented four-year-old RIVERPLATE looks on track to complete a hat-trick of wins this Saturday when he contests the $130,000 BM70 race over 1600m at Moonee Valley racecourse, Australia.

RIVERPLATE has shown huge improvement since returning from a six-month break in November. First-up, the Flying Artie gelding made every post the winning post when leading all the way to score by a comfortable margin of 3.75 lengths over 1400m at Sandown, before defying the rise in class to land a double in a Class 1 race last time out.

RIVERPLATE looks to have some rating points up his sleeve and from an ideal draw this week, he can prove hard to run down for jockey Daniel “Buckets” Moor.

PITCHANUN LOOKS OVERDUE

Consistent mare PITCHANUN can score an overdue win this Saturday when she lines up in the $80,000 BM64 race over 2040m at Moonee Valley racecourse.

PITCHANUN has been on a streak of four consecutive placings, including a close second at this track and distance last time out. Stalking the speed that day, the Savabeel mare probably took the lead too early at the 500m before being caught inside the final 50m, beaten 0.4 lengths on the wire.

This week, PITCHANUN remains in the same class and from an inside draw, she can prove a big winning chance with top jockey Jamie Kah jumping on board.
