Five Kranji trainers have built their stable numbers into the 40’s range, with defending champion trainer TIM FITZSIMMONS topping the list for the most horses with a healthy 45 thoroughbreds under his name.
MICHAEL CLEMENTS and DONNA LOGAN look healthy with 44 horses each, just two more than RICHARD LIM’S 42 horses. Long-time Kranji stalwart STEPHEN GRAY has moved into the top five with forty horses registered under his care, and he continues to build.
Four trainers have 30 or more horses, nine trainers with 20 or more, and five trainers with less than 20 horses. As a more significant number of horses generally increase the chances of a premiership tilt, the “Big Five” will prove the ones to watch as the season gets deeper into 2023.
