The form line has worked well and he could go on to open his account. Follow the betting action closely.

Race Summary: COTTON RON has run two good seconds on the poly. If he can bring the form to the turf, he can shed his maiden tag. But it is open. WYLIE RILEY was taken to the Western Cape and did show potential prior. His best run was at this venue and he could make a winning return. VICTOR RAIL showed good pace when debuting on the poly. He has the best draw and log-leading Keagan de Melo in the irons. TIGER IN RED was hampered when looking to progress in his local debut and could be the dark horse. MCCARTNEY races for a stable in hot form – watch.

Race Summary: Another competitive race. KITTYBOYS GIRL held up honest form at Hollywoodbets Greyville but did look a lot more comfortable at this venue prior. She would rate the form choice but has to overcome a wide draw after a rest. Highveld filly INNER SENSE was second best despite a saddle slip in her penultimate and probably needed her last run which came after a rest. She too has drawn wide along with TELIO, IM THE BUZZ and APPROACHABLE LASS. All mentioned have shown the potential to win a race like this. Improving KABON KAPI and VERMACILLI could take advantage having drawn well.

Race Summary: PRINCESS JO ran a forward race out the maidens even though sustaining an injury. She has more to come but has to overcome a wide gate on her debut at this venue. FAMILY FAVOURITE has run second three times in her last four outings and would be deserving. She ran downfield in her penultimate when over-racing over further and the run is best ignored. MEREDITH GREY is a lot better than her last run when having to overcome a bad draw. The track and trip looks ideal and she has drawn well. SEA EAGLE, VALERIAS DREAM, MYSTERIOUS GIRL and MYSTIC ANGEL all appear better than recent form.

Race Summary: LILLYBELLE impressed when running on too late last time. According to the handicapper she matched her best rating last time and being best weighted here means she should have every chance. However, she meets a few males on the up. PARIS PIKE was too far back in his penultimate and won better than the margin suggests last time. He needs a fast pace and could pass this test as well. MEETATTHEWINDSOR and EL REY VIENE both won their maidens well enough to suggest there is more to come. The latter’s last form line is working well. PASCALI and TOM’S ACT can also get into it.

Race Summary: When PHILISPIEL is in the mood, he is hard to catch. He won a nice race at Greyville but is now back to his best track and more is expected from him. TRAFALGAR SQUARE and especially SLIM JANNIE with a 4kg apprentice claim can turn the form around with PHILISPIEL at the weights but the latter needs to find his best form. SEA VISTA didn’t show much on the turf and then dead-heated on the poly last time but gives the impression he needed time to come to hand. Upset type again. ONE TOO MANY should be right there on form. Most have claims in a competitive affair.

Race Summary: QUEST FOR THE BEST raised his game to win his last start and even though up in ratings looks well weighted. He was costly to follow earlier but seems a reformed individual. NORTHERN WARRIOR needs to get going sooner to catch the former. He came from the clouds to finish 1,15-lengths behind but is now 1,5kg better off and should have every chance. CAPTAIN ROCKET enjoyed the poly and won well enough to suggest he could be dangerous on handicap debut. He may appreciate this track and trip. DONQUERARI and ROY’S JULY MAGIC need to be taken seriously.

Race Summary: Tough race to end. GRUE OF ICE is overdue and may just make a winning debut for her new yard. Her best recent run was over course and distance and she has drawn well. SPIRITED FLIGHT is returning after a break and is one to watch. She showed good resolve to win her second start and has room for improvement. THERE SHE GOES now brings good form into the region and could be effective. Her stable is in good form. TRIPTOROYALTY has run decent races on the poly but could be waiting to run on the turf now matured. CHE VINCERA showed fair potential in the Cape – watch her.
