Progressive gelding MANDRAKE looks ideally placed for a winning return in the 1400m Holland Lop Stakes at Ipoh on Sunday.

Trained by Kevin Coetzee, MANDRAKE has established a good record since winning at his Malaysian debut in November last year and has maintained solid form since. The seven-year-old is coming off successive placings in Class 3 company, the most recent when he closed off well from a moderate beginning to finish over 1400m in KL.

With one win and two placings from four local starts, MANDRAKE looks well suited back on home turf and should prove hard to beat this weekend.
