SNAP, CRACKLE AND POP
Promising four-year-old SNAP BOOK is primed to land his third career win this Saturday when he lines up in the $35,000 Benchmark 58 race over 1400m at Albury racecourse, Australia.
SNAP BOOK outperformed market expectation to break his maiden three starts ago before defying the rise in class to score a facile win over 1500m at this track. Most recently, the Fighting Sun gelding was not suited by the slow pace when he settled towards the rear from a wide draw before charging home late into fourth, missing by 3.2 lengths over this distance at Wagga.
SNAP BOOK will relish the drop in class this week and from a better draw, he should settle much closer to the speed and can prove a big winning chance in a field without much depth.
THE SECRET IS OUT
Quality three-year-old filly IN SECRET is on track to land a hat-trick of wins she races second-up in the $600,000 Group 1 Surround Stakes over 1400m from Royal Randwick Racecourse, Australia on Saturday.
IN SECRET is yet to finish outside the Top 2 in her short seven-career start so far, winning on five occasions which include her last two races in the G1 Coolmoore Stud Stakes over 1200m in late October before resuming with a bang in the Group 2 Lightfinger Stakes over 1200m on 11 February.
The up-and-comer aims for her first career win over 1400m on Saturday, with her only try over the distance in the G1 Golden Rose in September last year when narrowly missing on the wire.
