This Saturday (25 February), Singapore racing continues with a 12-race fixture at Kranji Racecourse.

The Michael Clements-trained PACIFIC BAO BEI, an impressive debut winner, is set to return to Kranji in the $50,000 Class 4 race over 1600m on turf, where he is expected to secure back-to-back victories.

Previously racing in the United Kingdom, PACIFIC BAO BEI won two races and finished in the top three in three other starts out of eight. In his local debut one month ago, he was heavily backed and did not disappoint, showing great determination to secure a narrow but impressive win over 1400m.

Since then, multiple runners have ran well, indicating that his form is strong. The rise in distance should also benefit him, based on his overseas performances. The gelding is expected to excel in Class 4 and beyond and secure a double victory.

Meanwhile, trainer Tim Fitzsimmons’ latest acquisition, MIMOSAS, is poised to make his debut in the $50,000 Class 4 Handicap over 1000m on the Polytrack.

MIMOSAS boasts an impressive track record with two wins out of five starts in Australia. He won his debut race at Flemington in May 2021 and has since competed in several Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old races, including the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes, where he finished seventh. MIMOSAS was last seen winning a BM64 race at Pakenham in June 2022, scoring a two-length victory on the Synthetic track over 1100m. With three barrier trials, two of which he won with ease, MIMOSAS is well prepared for his local debut and holds a rating of 65 points, giving him a good chance to win in Class 4.
