Course E will come into play for Saturday’s nine race card at Selangor Turf Club this Saturday commencing at 1.15pm.
Recent maiden winner DAN IMPACT (1) faces his biggest assignment when he lines up in the 1500m Class 4 contest (Race 4). The well bred gelding has an impressive lineage with group one winners coming from the paternal side of his family, including his grand sire Deep Impact, a multiple group winner in Japan. He will line up against some more experienced and seasoned campaigners including stable mates LEOPARD ECLIPSE (2) and TILSWORTH SYDNEY (6), which are both coming off last start wins and are proven performers at this level. SHINE SHINE (4) has always displayed the potential to rise through the grades and will strip fitter second up from a break. RAGNAR (3) is capable of causing a minor upset if he can recapture his best form.
A small but select field will be going around in the 1200m Class 4 (Race 6) and stable mates MELTING POINT (4) and CONSTANT JUSTICE (2) appear the ones to beat. MELTING POINT (4) turned in an eye catching effort when produced first up for the Frank Maynard stable finishing a head 2nd over 1200m in Ipoh two weeks ago and will be searching for his first Malaysian win plus first victory since March 2018. CONSTANT JUSTICE (2) was a recent acquisition to the camp and did not disappoint when finishing just outside the placings over 1075m on the inner track earlier this month. Winless since January 2019, the ten year old was a Class 1 performer several seasons back and will be hoping to recapture its best form. WINNER’S EUPHORIA (5) has been transferred to the Sharee Hamilton stables and will be looking to bounce back after successive Class 4 victories back in November and January. I AM BEAUTIFUL (6) turned in an uncharacteristic performance last start following two wins in a row and will be one to watch first up for two months.
