Race Summary: FISH EAGLE looks to have met a promising sort in Cornwall last time. He jumped slowly and was coughing so was not disgraced and could make a successful Polytrack debut. Another Highveld raider, BROSNAN, was a fair second in his penultimate but was reported to take no interest when beaten as odds on favourite last time. If in the right mood he could take advantage as he has the better draw. COTTON RON has finished ahead of BLITZEN and VICTOR RAIL and was beaten a short head the last time he raced on the poly. He rates a big threat. MAGWINYA has room for improvement.

Race Summary: SKY VELOCITY can go one better after finishing runner-up in her last two starts on the Highveld. She has gate No 1 in her first try over 1600m and introduction to the poly. FIELDS OF GREEN found herself too far back but quickened well to finish second after a rest. It was her first local start after relocating from the Cape and she could make the required improvement for the win. She too tries the synthetic surface. The form is thin after these. ALEEYAH’S UNICORN showed earlier and could now be going over a more suitable distance. QUEEN JACKSON could suddenly show more.

Race Summary: DOWSER appreciated being back on the poly as he won his comeback race giving useful Ice Kingdom 3.5kg. He can make further improvement. MR PIGALLE won the last time he raced on this surface and subsequently held form well on the turf in stronger races. There is only 1kg between the pair and it could get close. MAXIUMUS is hard to peg back once in front and could get away again but GRIMALDI and DOWSER can both press the pace and it won’t be easy. IMMEASURABLE beat much weaker last time but had his confidence boosted and could be right there again. More can earn.

Race Summary: FORWARD SPELL had a tough time upcountry making respiratory noise. He is back to the track on which he scored his last win and could make a winning return if over his affliction. It is a wide-open race. LUCRETIUS could be well placed. He has run two good races in a row and loves this course and distance. ZAKHO took a while to get going last time but is coming along the right way and could be looking for the distance. CORSICAN appears better than his first post-maiden outing and could show a bit more this time. Stablemate BARBATTI, AMERICAN DREAM and LORD MINVER are not out of it either.

Race Summary: RECKLESS LOVE won her penultimate on the Polytrack in style and ran a fair race when switching to the turf last time. She may bounce back to win back on the poly even if having to navigate a wide draw. FASHIONIGMA was beaten four lengths by the former on the poly but it was an encouraging effort and she is 2,5kg better off so could make a race of it this time. YOU DESERVE IT made a form return after a rating dropped and finished ahead of RECKLESS LOVE. She now has a 1.5kg claim and could confirm if not needing the run after a break. BAY BREEZE and DILLUH should be right there.

Race Summary: MORGAN LA FAY is by Rafeef and could appreciate the step to 1400m. A merit-rating drop will also help. ROYAL KITTY is the specialist and will be ridden by Keagan de Melo. However, she is racing after a rest and may just need it. HATTA is in top form and was clear second best in a race where she took on males. She could confirm the strength of that form. BIRDWATCHER is holding form and has drawn well but needs a good pace. SHE’S NOT EASY appears capable.

Race Summary: Probably the most open race on the day – this lower division handicap – go wide in exotic bets. PREEMPTIVE STRIKE has run with stronger and last time had the worst of the draws. He now has a plum gate and could make it count. QUIZ MASTER didn’t enjoy racing on turf and could bounce back on the poly. He has draw No 1 and races for a new yard. AGRESSIVO didn’t do badly from the widest stall last time out and may try different tactics. He could get closer. ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD ran a fair race in his first post-maiden outing. QUICK STAR is also capable of making a bold bid.
