being an outsider.

runner.
5. TWO FIFTY TWO – Lightly raced and caught the eye last time. Can build on current efforts to
get closer.

7. PANDIA SELENE – A filly that has shown some form and ability and run well at this track. Expect
a big effort.
8. MISS POOKIE – Should relish the extra distance and even if need of this run should be very
effective.
9. BOMBINA – Has shown ability and even though this is her debut for 2023, she can make it a
winning one.
10. EBAUCHE – Caught the eye when making a tremendous debut over a mile on the 18th of
March and has a bright chance.
11. KIRIKOU HIGHWOOD – Is By Johnny Barnes out of a Chelsea manor mare and comes
from the Gadbin yard.
12. DSCHINGIS STAR – Filly by Dschingis Secret making her debut and the market should be
the best guide.
13. PENNYWELL – Makes the debut and will be ridden by Fabrice Vernon. Keep an eye on
the betting.
14. EXUBERANCE – Filly by Roaring Lion out of an Exceed and Excel mare. The market trends
will be the best guide.

Summary : BOMBINA (9) is rated 37 and gets the services of Leo Roussel. She has shown ability
and despite not having run since the 28th of October 2022 when 3rd at Saint-Cloud, is selected to
make a winning start to her 2023 campaign. EBAUCHE (10) ran an absolute cracker on debut

close. MISS POOKIE (8) was ridden by Christophe Soumillon on debut finishing 5th over 1300m

R2 – PRIX DE LA DUCHESSE ANNE – 2300m (a1 7/16m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 21.000

1. SERBER – Is having his 19th attempt at getting it all right and others are preferred.
2. FIRST NIGHT – Has raced once a month this year and might have more to offer.

can make amends.
4. ZILLOW – Plenty of scope to improve on good debut and rates the one they all have to fear the
most.
5. LADIVA – Another good ride for Roussel and her penultimate run at this track was good. She
has a strong each way chance.
6. SUGERTIME – Very good debut finishing second at Machecoul and should win soon.
7. MOON WAY – Has got plenty of scope to build on her only start of this year.
8. CAPRICE A DEUX – She will need to improve on two efforts thus far and others are preferred.
Would be a surprise winner.
9. DSCHINGIS HEIGHTS – Might be able to run well on debut but the betting market will be the
best guide.
10. MUDPILAT – Debutante from the Pautier yard that could be able to run well first time at the

Summary : ZILLOW (4) ran 3rd on debut at Toulouse on the 12th March and has plenty of scope
to build on that and rates the one to beat. LADIVA (5) is another good ride for Leo Roussel and this
filly has placed five times from six starts. Her penultimate run at this course over 2000m in
November last year was good and she can improve on her most recent effort which she may have
needed. LIGHT WAVE (3) posted up two good runs then a disappointing one . That effort is best
ignored and he can get much closer now. SUGERTIME (6) is a Cloth Of Stars filly that finished 2nd
on debut on the 19th March at Machecoul and must be taken very seriously.

SELECTIONS
ZILLOW (4) – LADIVA (5) – LIGHT WAVE (3) – SUGERTIME (6)

be shortlisted.

6. EQUILLY – Is returning from a rest and if not in too much need of this, can earn.
7. ARCALIS DU NINIAN – Finished second last time at Le Mans over 1950m and could be worth
including for some vale.
8. WANATA – Makes her course debut, has the form to win this and is the one to beat.

Her form thus far is encouraging and she makes her course debut which looks set to be a winning
one. KINGSTON NARCISSUS (3) finished 4th over 2200m at Fontainebleau on the 3rd March and
is a live candidate for top position. Expect a huge effort from him. His winning turn seems near.
JACK THE LAD’S (1) last three efforts have been a tad below par but he has shown some spark
before and cannot be ignored. EQUILLY (6) is lightly raced but returning from a rest. She is sure to
improve from this but might have plenty more to offer and can be very effective.

and has claims.
5. YORK TOWN – Last three runs have been below best and is certainly capable of doing better.
6. MAGIOKA – Is a tad off form recently but has shown potential and has strong each way claims.

Summary : KER STORMY (2) put up a bold effort in his come back run on the 9th of March finishing
second at Saint – Cloud over 3100m and could take a power of beating with that run under the belt.
He has been knocking at the door and loudly. THAT’S MY POWER (1) is rated at 34 and ran 4th
over 2400m at Toulouse recently and that run alone makes him a live candidate for the win.
MAGIOKA (6) has gone a tad wayward since making a winning debut some time ago but obviously
has the ability to be effective in this and SIRNODIN (8) made his presence felt in a Handicap last
time and is one for the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
KER STORMY (2) – THAT’S MY POWER (1) – MAGIOKA (6) – SIRNODIN (8)

well. Bright win chance.

3. SRIDEDGREEN – Enjoys the marathon trips and his last run in a Handicap was good. He has
a strong chance.

Strong each way chance.
5. KHAZAR LISES – Goes well on both the flat and the jumps and has a rating of 31,5.
6. LE PETIT GEGENE – Was a fluent winner last month and if he were to follow up, it would be

his chances.

place.

involved with the finish.

two out of his last three and is selected to continue on winning ways. SRIDEDGREEN (3) is always
there and thereabouts and his last Handicap run was good enough to warrant giving him a solid

last time he tasted success. He has a good chance and is a lively candidate for some prize money.
LE PETIT GEGENE (6) won just last month over 2900m at Senonnes and can certainly follow up.
