Race Preview
R1 – PRIX DE ROISSY – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 53.000
1. RAYSTEVE – Won at Chantilly over 1300m on March 1st. Is very honest and is usually on the
premises.
2. MONTUSSAN – Having a first run in 2023. Will be fit for today’s return. Unplaced in a Listed
Race when last seen over 1500m at Deauville in November. Not to be overlooked.
3. IMPITOYABLE – Won beating O TRASNO (5) when they met three weeks ago at Fontainebleau.
A course and distance winner, who is sure to be competitive again.
4. EAGLEWAY – Three unplaced runs of late in decent races. Won a Class 2 in December over
1500m at Chantilly. Place chance.
5. O TRASNO – A good 2nd at Fontainebleau over 1200m to IMPITOYABLE (3) recently, with a
marginal weight pull, he can reverse the placings. Player.
6. ELUSIVE FOOT – 4th at Chantilly over 1400m on the all-weather last month. Versatile and is a
player.
7. LESSLEPASSER – Did not feature when last seen at Fontainebleau over 1200m three weeks
ago. Others rate higher.
8. TERRITORYWAR – Unplaced at Fontainebleau over 1200m in late March. Needs a good bit
more to be involved.
9. GAME RUN – Won by 3L at Salon Provence over 1100m 12 days ago. Looks competitive on
form.
10. KING ROBBE – Has dropped 2kg after four unplaced runs. Has not been fired up yet in 2023.
11. BASEEMA – Won on the latest outing at Chantilly over 1400m in March. Only three runs and
has a lot more to come.
12. MOWAEVA – Looks to have lost form. A fair drop in the ratings of 5.5kg as a consequence of
some tame efforts.
13. BACCHILIDE – Two unplaced runs. A fair 3rd prior to recent outings over 1300m in February.
Limited appeal.
14. GORDON BREAK – A number of unplaced efforts of late. A 3rd place at Chantilly over 1200m
last May was a good run. Consider.
15. JOSEJOSEPHINE – Having the first run in 2023. Four unplaced efforts to finish off in 2022.
Hard to fancy on return from a break.
16. FLEUR DE BAILEYS – 4th at Mont-De -Marsan over 1200m when last seen in early March.
Needs more to feature.
Summary : O TRASNO (5) meets IMPITOYABLE (3) on slightly better terms than when they met
at Fontainebleau recently when finishing first and second that day and is a marginal first-choice
selection. IMPITOYABLE (3) is a course and distance winner, will not make it easy, and is a live
danger. ELUSIVE FOOT (6) is another to consider in a very competitive handicap, a good recent
run when fourth on the all-weather at this racecourse. GAME RUN (9) won well earlier this month
and is one for the each-way backers.

R2 – PRIX DU CHEMIN DES CLOS – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – ALL WEATHER – Divised Handicap – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 16.000
1. OSUMI – Has shown very little form in numerous outings. Looks totally out of sorts and is hard
to fancy.
2. MEJAEN – He won at this track four runs ago over 2700m in February. A course and distance
winner who can not be ruled out.
3. AYANA – Three unplaced runs recently, a fair 3rd at Chantilly over 2100m in February, which
was a better performance. Others rate higher.
4. LANDARYNA – A good 3rd at Chantilly two outings ago over 2100m when not beaten far. In the
mix.
5. HACKLE SETTER – A course and distance winner. A couple of unplaced recent runs but won
before those in February at this track. Each way chance.
6. GRAND LEON – 2nd two starts ago at Deauville over 2500m in March. More required.
7. AMERICAN LILY – Three unplaced runs of late. A 3rd place run in December over 2500m. Needs
more to feature.
8. JOYCE GALESTE – has dropped 15kg in the ratings due to some very poor efforts over various
trips. Hard to fancy.
9. DEPENDE – Ran well two runs ago when 2nd at Pornichet over 2400m in March. Sure to be
involved.
10. ANIMA ERAT – 3rd at this track three outings ago over 1800m was a good run. Can be involved
if running to the same level.
11. TAAL – Ran well when 4th at Deauville 11 days ago over 1900m. Has strong claims of winning.
12. PREMIER AVRIL – Has a lot of unplaced runs. Has not shown any decent form for a long time.
Hard to fancy.
13. WALDENON – Has been disappointing with several unplaced efforts. Seems best watched for
now.
14. IVISHAK RIVER – Four unplaced runs of late. Looks out of sorts and others look more appealing.
15. CHARLES LEGEND – A good 2nd over 2700m at this venue two outings ago. Looks competitive
on form.
Summary : With lots of these out of form, it is a very tricky handicap trying to ascertain the likely
winner. TAAL (11) is a tentative selection, she ran a good race when last seen, and should be
involved at the business end. CHARLES LEGEND (15) has run well at this track previously and
could pose the biggest danger. LANDARYNA (4) was a close third a couple of runs ago at this track
and looks sure to give a good account of herself. DEPENDE (9) ran well when second at Pornichet
on the all-weather and is one for the each-way backers.

R3 – PRIX SIGY – 1100m (a5 1/2f) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000
1. WODAO – Irish raider. Ran well when 2nd at Cork over 1200m 9 days ago, and has won on soft
ground. Player.
2. DENVER CHOP – Two unplaced efforts of late. Most recent run over 1600m. Looks unlikely to
trouble some of these.
3. DISILLUSION – Won at Madrid (Spain) over 1100m 15 days ago. Needs more to be involved at
the finish.
4. VICIOUS HARRY – Useful as a juvenile. Ran well in a Group 1 at Longchamp over 1400m in
October. The drop back in trip will pose no issues, as a winner over 1000m. In the mix.
5. WHISTLE AND FLUTE – 2nd in a Listed Race over 1100m at Chantilly in March. Competitive on
form.
6. MARSHMAN – Decent two-year-old. A fair 5th in a Group 1 at Newmarket when last seen in
September over 1200m. Form pick.
7. CIAO PA’ – 3rd in a Listed Race over 1300m in mid-March. A lot more required to beat some
smart rivals.
8. I AM INCREDIBLE – A fair 4th in a Listed Race over 1100m at Chantilly behind WHISTLE AND
FLUTE (5). Could find this difficult.
Summary : MARSHMAN (6) had some very good form last year in the UK. A good second in the
Gimcrack at York, which was a Group 2 and was possibly his best run. He can be too good for
these if he is able to handle what is likely to be the softest ground he has ever encountered.
WODAO (1) was a good second at Cork when last seen, and looks like the probable main threat to
the selection. WHISTLE AND FLUTE (5) ran well when second to PERDIKA in a Listed Race and
should be involved again. VICIOUS HARRY (4) ran at the highest level on his last start of 2022.
He should be fit enough to put in a good run on his return.

R4 – PRIX DU BOIS DES BOULEAUX – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Claiming – Flat – EUR € 23.000
1. IL RITORNO – A 2nd place run two starts ago over 1200m at Chantilly. A similar performance
can be expected.
2. BLACK PAWS – 2nd over 1600m two runs ago at Chantilly in early March. Holds every chance.
3. BO LYWOOD – Three unplaced runs of late. A winner before those outings over 1300m at
Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February. Others rate higher.
4. REMINISCE – Won at Crois- Laroche in March over 1100m with BRAGGIN RIGHTS (5) in 3rd
place. Not to be dismissed.
5. BRAGGIN RIGHTS – 3rd on the latest run behind REMINISCE (4) over 1100m at Crois- Laroche
in late March. Hopefully able to relax more today. Ought to be in the shake-up.
6. NO LIMIT DREAM – Unplaced on latest outing. Won at Pau over 1400m in February. Could play
a role at attractive odds.
7. SUNSHINEFLED – 4th two runs ago in a maiden over 1300m, in what looked a better race than
this. A good 2nd in October at Saint-Cloud over 1600m. Form pick.
Summary : SUNSHINEFLED (7) is the selection, she ran a good race two outings ago when fourth
when not beaten very far in a better-class race. BLACK PAWS (2) looks like the biggest rival. A
good effort two starts ago when third over 1600m at Chantilly. IL RITORNO (1) is in the mix at this
level on his run when second at Chantilly two starts ago. BRAGGIN RIGHTS (5) is another that
needs consideration on a recent third-place effort behind REMINISCE (4) having raced a bit free
in the early part of the race.

R5 – PRIX DU CHEMIN DES POISSONNIERS – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – ALL WEATHER – Divised Handicap – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 20.000
1. LE BOLERO – 3rd of 15 at Pornichet over 2100m 26 days ago. Tries Chantilly PSF today and
has strong claims.
2. MISTER CHARLIE – A few unplaced runs of late. 3rd over 1600m at Chantilly last November.
Can be involved.
3. BOORGA – A recent 2nd at Lyon La Soie was over 2150m in mid-March, which was a good
effort. Key chance.
4. PARIS AFFAIR – Has had an 8.5kg drop in the official ratings, but has shown to be in regressive
form. Happy to avoid.
5. GIANTISSIME – A nice 3rd at Lyon La Soie 9 days ago over 1800m. Should stay and have every
chance of being in the frame.
6. RIMBAULT – Has dropped massively in the ratings by 9.5kg. Has shown very little for a long
period. Hard to fancy.
7. KARIOITAHI – 3rd at Le Mans over 1950m 18 days ago. A previous winner over 1900m at this
track. Each way must.
8. ANATELLO – Numerous unplaced efforts and a big drop in the ratings of 12kg. Others rate
higher.
9. PRINCEDESCHAMPS – Four unplaced runs of late. A 3rd place run at Haras-Du-Pin over 2200m
in October was a credible effort. Others rate higher.
10. ONCLE FERNAND – Three unplaced runs recently. A nice 2nd at Deauville over 1900m in
January. Should figure.
11. BELLA FLORIDA – Unplaced on the last two runs. A 2nd at Chantilly over 2700m was a good
run. Outside place claims.
12. NO MORE – Has had six runs and has yet to show anything over various distances. Happy to
pass over.
13. SABIANO – Lots of unplaced runs and hard to see a positive of late. The drop-in trip today
could see a better run.
14. LOVE THE STARS – A string of unplaced form gives very little encouragement. Makes no
appeal.
15. SERMANDAKFI – Although still a maiden, a 3rd place at Pornichet in December over 2400m
gives hope of a good run.
Summary : LE BOLERO (1) has good form on the all-weather tracks, notably at Pornichet. This is
his first try at Chantilly and he has every chance of winning off top weight. BOORGA (3) is coming
off a good effort when second at Lyon La Soie and is probably the main threat. KARIOITAHI (7) is
a previous course winner over 200m shorter and should be involved at the finish. MISTER
CHARLIE (2) has got previous form at this venue when finishing third over 1600m, if the step up in
trip poses no issues he can be involved.

R6 – PRIX DU CARREFOUR DES LIONS – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 18.000
1. LEV – Has a high rating and can be expected to build on his last run. Good chance.
2. POLITE – Recent win was at Deauville over 1400m and must be respected.
3. NEVER DIES – Was a winner over this course and distance before his layoff and should threaten
at the finish.
4. SEA OF ASH – Her only run this year was a winning one and she should be right there.
5. RATHMORE – Filly from the Fabre yard whose last run in Listed company can be built on.
6. ROSANNE DU GOUET – Her last two runs were fair and could be the value for the places.
7. SASSICA – Only win was in 2022 and will need to build on recent form.
8. PLEASE MY LOVE – Never shone on debut and will need to improve on that to threaten.
9. TOPGEAR – He is rated at 49, is unbeaten and should win again despite the layoff.
10. DERAZHNYA – Two moderate efforts thus far and would be a surprise winner against these.
Summary : TOP GEAR (9) is returning from a very long rest. He was last seen on the 17th of
September 2021 but is unbeaten three from three and clearly very talented. His last win was at
Chantilly over 1200m in a Graded race, he now steps up to 1400m for the first time and is selected
to remain unbeaten. NEVER DIES (3) is also returning from a layoff but was a winner over this
course and distance before that and can threaten in his comeback. SEA OF ASH (4) was a winner
at her last start over 1500m at Deauville in her only race thus far for 2023. She has fitness on her
side and is a must for most bets and LEV (1) is highly rated and can build on his only 2023 run.
