R1 – PRIX DES HORTENSIAS – 1000m (a5f) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 27.000
1. KALEOCREEK – Won at Marseille Borely over 1000m in mid-March. Can be in the shake up
2. CARAJONES – Won at Lion D’Angers on racecourse debut over 1100m in late March by 5L.
Can progress and has a good chance of following up
3. MARIE MANCINI – Won at Lyon Parilly on debut over 900m just over 4 weeks ago. Can
improve and has place claims
4. FERRARI FEVER – 3rd at Chantilly over 1000m 11 days ago. Can improve for racecourse
debut and looks like the one to beat
5. LOYAL PRINCE – Was disappointing when finishing unplaced last time, after a promising 3rd
on debut. Others preferred
6. SABROSO – An unraced colt by NATHANIEL, the Dam was a winner. May need the
experience and a longer trip
7. CUNCERTA – Ran with promise over 900m when 9th of 13 on debut at Saint-Cloud late last
month. Not to be overlooked
8. KAREN’S DILEMMA – An unraced filly by BLEK, the Dam never ran. Any market moves
should be noted
Summary : FERRARI FEVER (4) can make good progress from a good run at Chantilly on debut
and get his first win. CARAJONES (2) could pose the biggest danger, she went clear when
making a winning debut and was strong through the line. KALEOCREEK (1) was also a winner on
his first day at school last month and is sure to be involved again. CUNCERTA (7) is one for the
each-way backers as she ran with promise over an inadequate trip on debut.

1. DSCHINGIS SPECTRE – A nice effort on debut when 5th at Fontainebleau over 2200m in
March. Can make progress from that and is a leading contender
2. SACRED SPIRIT – 2nsd at Lyon La Soie over 2400m in March was a solid effort. Can not be
ruled out
3. WILLY WINNER – 5th at this venue over 2200m on only run to date last month. Hard to fancy
4. BATTLE CONNEXION – Unplaced at Lyon La Soie over 2400m in early March. Needs vast
improvement to feature
5. MR LE PHILOSOPHE – Unplaced on only start at Fontainebleau last November over 1800m.
Can be ready for return and appreciate the extra distance
6. ROCH – A son of the mighty FRANKEL will need to have improved for only start over 1800m at
Fontainebleau last November. Others appeal more
7. LADY GLENHAM – Unplaced at Saint-Cloud on only start over 2000m in March. Can improve
and should feature
8. THANKYOU – Plenty to like about a 5th of 14 at Deauville in mid-March over 1900m. Should
like the step up in trip and be in the mix
9. UNIVERSAL WIND – An unraced gelding by UNIVERSAL the Dam never ran. Market best
guide to the performance expected
Summary : An encouraging run-on debut DSCHINGIS SPECTRE (1) can be wiser today and is
the likely winner. THANKYOU (8) ran with lots of promise on her only start recently and is a live
danger. SACRED SPIRIT (2) has strong each-way claims after a really good run when second in
late March at Lyon La Soie. MR LE PHILOSOPHE (5) should be more streetwise today after his
run last November at Fontainebleau and is one for the place backers.

2. I’M ON MY WAY – Won at Lignieres over 1600m in March. Can build on that recent success
and is sure to feature
3. THREE DREAMS – A close-up 5th at Marseille Pont De Vivaux on the PSF 15 days ago over
2000m. Every chance of being involved
4. SARELLO – Unplaced at Saint-Cloud over 1900m in December, did win prior to that over
1700m at Pornichet in November. May be better for today’s return
5. TOP DAAY – 2nd in a claimer at Nancy over 2000m 14 days ago. Needs more to trouble some
of these
6. SCATTERED DREAMS – Ran well when not beaten far when 4th at Nancy over 1400m earlier
this month. Form pick
7. BURWASH – Has had three runs, and goes handicapping for the first time. A fair 4th on the
second start over 1600m. Can place
8. DOLCESHAL – A winner at Lyon La Soie when last seen over 1800m 14 days ago, that was a
claimer but should not be overlooked
9. ADELIDELO – A good 3rd at Saint-Cloud over 1400m 21 days ago. Beaten under 4L that day.

10. CHOISEUL – Has four runs so far all unplaced. First, try in a handicap. Needs improvement to
be involved
Summary : SCATTERED DREAMS (6) was not beaten very far when he was fourth at Nancy
and is relatively lightly raced and there looks as though there is more to come, he is the selection.
ADELIDELO (9) performed well when third at Saint-Cloud and is threatening to win, she looks like
the main danger. I’M ON MY WAY (2) was a recent winner at Lignieres and can not be ruled out
of being involved again. DOLCESHAL (8) is one for the place backers and could represent some
value in the betting market.

1. JOUEUSE DE BLUES – Unplaced at Saint-Cloud when last seen over 1600m 15 days ago. A
winner at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February over 1600m. Not dismissed
2. LORLISALSA – A 4th place over 1700m in late March when last seen. Has dropped in the
ratings but others preferred
3. REAL WILD CHILD – A better run when 5th at Lyon La Soie over 2150m in late March. Has a
good chance of getting the head in front
4. MAPLE GIRL – 4th at Salon Provence over 1800m earlier this month. Needs a better effort to
feature
5. CHONATA – A nice 4th place effort at Paray-Le- Monial 12 days ago over 1700m. Can be
involved at the business end
6. ZANTARIO – 3rd at Chantilly over 1500m earlier this month. Ought to be involved in the finish
7. DESERT HEIGHTS – Has four unplaced runs in 2023. A 3rd place effort over 1500m in
December was better. Could place at good odds
8. MYSTICAL PRINCE – A fair 4th over 1500m at Marseille Pont De Vivaux on the latest run over
1700m earlier this month. Needs more
9. PRINCESSE VERA – Three unplaced efforts of late. Won at Toulouse over 1400m in
November. Can feature
10. WHEEL OF CHANCE – Has numerous unplaced efforts over various distances. Has dropped
to a lower rating, but hard to fancy
11. LAWRENCE – Four unplaced runs of late over various trips. Has to find improvement to figure
12. MAKENO – Nicely weighted and a good 4th at Nancy over 1400m earlier this month. Player
13. MAKHZEN – 4th at Salon Provence over 1800m earlier this month. Needs more to feature
Summary : REAL WILD CHILD (3) put in a better run last time and with a drop in the ratings can
be the tentative selection in a tricky handicap. MAKENO (12) was an encouraging third at Nancy
and could be the biggest danger to the selection. CHONATA (5) ran with credit at Paray-LeMonial when last appearing and should be able to put in a bold show. MYSTICAL PRINCE (8) ran
well on the all-weather surface last time and is one for the place backers.

1. HELLO CHARLY – Three unplaced efforts of late. Did win at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in January over
1500m. Expected to run well
2. MUELHEIMER PERLE – A good 2nd over 1500m 15 days ago on the all-weather surface.
Should have no issues back on the grass. Can play a role
3. MAX VERST – Won at Saint-Cloud over 1600m 15 days ago. Has strong claims of running a
big race
4. FRENCH PEGASUS – A few unplaced runs of late. 2nd at Vichy last August over 1600m.
Needs to rediscover old form
5. THE CHOSEN ONE – 2nd at Lyon La Soie when last seen over 1800m earlier this month.
Merits consideration
6. PERTUSATO – 4th at Chantilly over 1600m in December on the all-weather surface when last
seen. Can improve from a layoff
7. RAVEN’S SPIRIT – Won at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 1300m on the all-weather surface in
February. The return to grass should not be a concern. Can feature
8. MYSTERY – A good 3rd at Chantilly late in March over 1600m on the all-weather surface.

9. AD LIBITUM – A 3rd place effort at Lion D’Angers over 2000m 13 days ago. Ought to be in the
shake-up
10. JUSSIFER – Three unplaced efforts of late. A 2nd at Deauville in February over 1900m was a
better effort. Outside place claims
11. HYGROVE LASS – A 3rd over 1500m 15 days ago on the all-weather surface was an
improvement. More needed to trouble some of these
12. HYBRID – Unplaced on a most recent outing, but won prior to that over 1600m at Chantilly.
Others rate higher
13. TALISMAN TOUCH – 2nd at Pompadour over 1700m last July. Racing off a long break so
may need the outing
Summary : MYSTERY (8) ran well when third at Chantilly on his most recent run and looks ready
to win. MAX VERST (3) did well when winning at Saint-Cloud when last seen and he rates a live
danger to the selection. MUELHEIMER PERLE (2) can not be ruled out of this after a good run on
the all-weather surface at Marseille Pont De Vivaux recently. AD LIBITUM (9) comes here off a
good effort when third at Lion D’Angers 13 days ago and is respected.
