Race Preview
R10 – SHEIKH MANSOOR FESTIVAL – PRIX DORMANE – 1900m (a1 3/16m) – TURF – – Flat – EUR € 20.000
1. HAKA DU SOLEIL – A disappointment when seventh in only start of the year. Did better before
that and could prefer this shorter distance. Place chance.
2. JENKILLE HIPOLYTE – Improving and was runner-up in Doha last time out. That form could be
the best in the race.
3. MADRASSA – Good and consistent form in 2022. Was ahead of rival J ENKILLE HIPOLYTE (2
at Saint Cloud in September 2022 but is returning from a break.
4. MUTBAHY ATHBAH – He has improved with each run and won at Toulouse last time out. This
is a tougher test but he may well be up to it.
5. JUAN DE FAUST – Improving and was not disgraced when runner-up last time out. This is a
tougher race but could play a minor role.
6. NAHIM – Threatening to win a race but was behind rivals MADRASSA (3) and JENKILLE
HIPOLYTE (2) at Saint Cloud in September 2022 and needs to improve.
Summary : A small field but a decent race. MUTBAHY ATHBAH (4) is improving and won nicely
last time out but meets a decent bunch. NAHIM (6) has been in good form without winning for some
time now and can fight out the finish yet again. MADRASSA (3) returns from a break but would not
be a surprise winner. JENKILLE HIPOLYTE (2) did well when runner-up at Doha last time out and
should be right there at the finish.

MUTBAHY ATHBAH (4) – NAHIM (6) – MADRASSA (3) – JENKILLE HIPOLYTE (2)
R11 – PRIX DU JOURNAL DU SUD-OUEST – 2200m (a1 3/8m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. TORNEO – Fit and in good form. Distance suited and should make a bold bid at winning this
race. Big chance.
2. DESERT SNAKE – A bit disappointing when only fifth last time out. He was improving before
that. Capable of doing better and has a place chance.
3. SALMARAK – Runner-up in Spain earlier this month. Fair form in France but needs to do more
to win. Might place.
4. OZALEE – Fair fifth on debut and made good improvement when winning her second start. This
is tougher task but she could have more to come.
5. YES ZARA – Fair fifth last time out. Made vast improvement off a weak debut to score in
penultimate start and has a place chance in this line-up.
6. WINTER’S LOVE – She clearly needed her debut in the UK. Made good improvement when
winning here in France this year. Deserves respect in this line-up.
7. ENCHANTRES – Improving and did well when runner-up in only start of this year. Fitter now and
should fight out the finish again.
Summary : TORNEO (1) looks the right one for this race. He is fit and in good form and could be
ready to show his best side. ENCHANTRES (7) did well when runner-up last time out and will be
the biggest threat to the selection. OZALEE (4) is improving and could have more to offer.
WINTER’S LOVE (6) won well last time out and deserves some respect in this small field.

R12 – PRIX DE LA VILLE DE LA TESTE-DE-BUCH – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 21.000
1. SALAHUDIN – He was runner-up on debut last year and repeated that when
runner-up in only start of 2023. Fitter now and can go one better this
time.
2. BLOODY SUNDAE – Improving and was a fair fourth last time out. Could do better this distance
and has a place chance in this line-up.
3. MISTER JIM – He did not show much on his debut earlier this month. Likely to improve but is
best watched for now.
4. DIVIN PROPOS – Fit and has done well in both starts so far. Distance should suit and he can
fight out the finish.
5. PINEROLO – He was only moderate in three starts of 2022 and is likely to need this run returning
from a break so others are preferred.
6. STAR PLATINUM – He has been consistent so far. Not disgraced when fourth last time out.
More needed to win but could earn some more money.
7. AXIOME – Good form shown in three starts. No problem with this course and distance so should
contest the finish yet again.
8. WATTO TO – A three-year-old colt by Martinborough out of Emouna Queen who is making his
debut. Likely to need the experience.
Summary : SALAHUDIN (1) deserves a win after two good runner-up runs but it is a competitive
looking race. DIVIN PROPOS (4) is doing well and should contest the finish. AXIOME (7) is another
in the race that is threatening to win. BLOODY SUNDAE (2) may need to do more to win this race
but could be improving and at the very least has a place chance.

R13 – PRIX GAIA SECURITE – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 21.000
1. LONG KE WAN – She is battling to win a race but is fit and in good heart. More needed to win
but could play a minor role.
2. COCOON QUATRE – Has not shown much in two starts at Toulouse this year. Capable of
improving but is best watched for now.
3. ANGEL CHARLY – Moderate debut in 2022 but stepped up in distance saw an improved third
last time out. More needed to win but has a place chance.
4. ROMANTIC SCENE – Good third on debut. Likely to be smarter this time and should be right
there at the finish.
5. AMALFINA – Good debut when runner-up earlier this month over 1900m. Capable of going one
better and has a winning chance.
6. EXUMA – Not disgraced when sixth on debut at Saint Cloud last month. Improvement likely and
should do a lot better this time.
7. BHUTTO – Seventh on UK debut in October 2022. Needs to do more to win this race returning
from a break.
8. MYTHICAL WORLD – Very consistent and could be improving but this is a tougher task. Could
play a minor role at best.
9. EBAUCHE – Fair debut but did not repeat it at Angers last time out. Could prefer this longer
distance but others are preferred for win purposes. Might place.
10. JUDE FLOWER – A three-year-old filly by Literato out of La Barbacane who is making her
debut. Likely to need this experience.
Summary : AMALFINA (5) produced a good debut when runner-up and looks hard to oppose with
further improvement likely. EXUMA (6) should also improve but whether she can beat AMALFINA
(5) is debatable. The same can also be said of ROMANTIC SCENE (4) who has some ground to
improve to beat that rival. EBAUCHE (9) is another that is more likely to see the tail of AMALFINA
(5) than be ahead of her but can earn some money.

R14 – PRIX DE SELECTION – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 33.000
1. HARRY DE LA BRUNIE AA – Distance suited and won three times in 2022. Returns from a
break so fitness will need to be taken on trust but has a winning chance.
2. SYBILLINE AA – Consistent without winning again this year. Holding form and looks likely to
contest the finish yet again.
3. HARDY PETIT AA – Improving and in the form of his life with two good wins this year. Tougher
task this time but has a winning chance.
4. FENG SHUI DU PECOS AA – He clearly needed his last start but is on a long losing streak and
needs to find a few lengths to win this race.
5. SIERRA DE L’ABBAYE AA – On the top of his game with two nice wins recently. This is tougher
but could pull of the hat-trick. Deserves respect.
6. INCROYABLE D’OC AA – Consistent and was not disgraced when runner-up in her only start
of the year. Likely fitter this time and can go one better.
7. JAFAR D’ESCAR AA – A bit of a disappointment this year. Distance suited but probably needs
to do more to win this race and others are preferred.
8. HINAYA POMPADOUR AA – Sixth in her comeback start. May have found that distance a bit
far and she will need to prove she gets the distance but is not out of it.
9. VOIX DIVINE AA – Always gives of her best and was not disgraced when runner-up in her only
start of this year. Has a wining chance.
10. HORIZON DE TANUES AA – Very consistent and is best around this distance. Fit and could
get involved with the finish yet again.
11. DREAM GOLD AA – Yet to win a race. Fair form in 2022 but will need to do more to win this
race returning from a break.
Summary : SIERRA DE L’ABBAYE AA (5) looked good in his last two wins and can pull off a hattrick but there are some lively dangers. HARDY PETIT AA (3) is also seeking a hat-trick after some
nice wins and will be a threat. HARRY DE LA BRUNIE AA (1) returns from a break but is distance
suited and can contest the finish. VOIX DIVINE AA (9) is game and always tries her hardest so has
to be respected.

SIERRA DE L’ABBAYE AA (5) – HARDY PETIT AA (3) – HARRY DE LA BRUNIE AA (1) –
VOIX DIVINE AA (9)
R15 – PRIX DES VANS THEAULT – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 16.000
1. SCHWANENSEE – Runner-up at this course last time out. Won nicely before that and has won
off an even higher mark in the past.
2. SELLY – Fair form this year. Distance suited and is very likely to get involved with the finish yet
again.
3. PLATEADO – Third in a claimer in the penultimate start but has moderate in his other runs this
year and needs to find a few lengths to win.
4. WAIPA – On a long losing streak and has been moderate for some time now and needs major
improvement to win this race.
5. CORIMBO – Improving and won well last time out. Distance suited and is capable of following
up back in a handicap.
6. TARCENAY – On a long losing streak but is fair form at the moment. Distance suited and can
finish in the money once again.
7. PANDEMONIUM – A bit disappointing in two starts this year. He has won a handicap over this
course and distance last year so deserves respect.
8. FORZA SEDACA – Much improved last run when fourth. Has won off a similar mark in the past
and is clearly not out of it.
9. SOLITARY MAN – Well beaten in only start of this year. Won three times in 2022 including at
this track and could be the surprise package.
10. LANDRY – A runner-up on handicap debut in April 2022 but has regressed since then and is
best watched for now.
11. MORNING SPIRIT – Ended her 2022 campaign with some moderate runs and was not better
this year. Others are much preferred.
12. FIAMELCA DOLOISE – She is on a long losing streak and has only moderate for some time
including twice this year. Others are preferred.
13. IGGY CHOP – Returned to form with a nice win on the PSF last time out. Up 2kg for that win
and may prefer that surface. Place chance.
Summary : There are a few reasons SCHWANENSEE (1) could score. He is in good form, has
run well at the track and has also won off a higher handicap mark before. SELLY (2) is distance
suited and is holding form so could go close. CORIMBO (5) won nicely last time out and can followup. TARCENAY (6) probably needs to improve a few lengths to win this race but could at least earn
some more money.

R16 – PRIX E2M – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 20.000
1. SHEHIYR – May have been anchored by a 2.5kg penalty last time out. Seems to refer the PSF
these days. Might place.
2. PARABAK – Improving and is coming off a nice win over this distance last time out. Carries a
2kg penalty for that win. Can follow-up.
3. KALINQA – Runner-up when she was back on the turf last time out. Can go one better over a
distance that suits.
4. MEXICAN DREAM – Fourth at this course last time out. Batting to win a handicap lately but could
finish in the money.
5. MOON DREAM – A winner of his last start at Toulouse over this distance but that was more than
a year ago and is likely to need this comeback run.
6. HEAVEN CITY – In good form this year winning twice. Tries this longer distance but is clearly
not out of it.
7. THECLIMB – He has been unreliable since winning over this distance at Toulouse in October
2022. Best watched for now.
8. NOLIVER – He has been a bit disappointing in three starts this year. His two wins last year were
over further. Can upset.
9. XARUN – More than a year since last win but was not disgraced when third last time out and
could earn some more money.
10. TEMPLE GATE – Seventh at Toulouse in his latest start. Did better on the SPF before that but
could play a minor role.
11. THE MAGIC MAN – A bit unreliable this year but was not disgraced when runner-up over this
distance in his penultimate start. Place chance.
12. UN SOIR D’ORAGE – Seems to have lost his way of late and was well beaten on the PSF in
his last two starts. Others are much preferred.
13. SEVILLANA – Probably needed her comeback run when seventh. Fitter now and capable of
doing better but others are preferred this time.
14. HARIQ – Good recent form over further. Has also run well over this distance before and should
contest the finish.
Summary : KALINQA (3) likes the turf and can go one better on the recent runner-up performance.
HARIQ (14) has been doing well over further and can win over this distance as well. PARABAK (2)
carries a penalty after a good win last time out and deserves the utmost respect. MEXICAN DREAM
(4) is battling to win a handicap but could finish in the money once again.
