Promising four-year-old BEAUTY ETERNAL can bounce back to his winning ways when he steps out in the Class 2 1400m Handicap at Sha Tin on Champions Day on Sunday.

BEAUTY ETERNAL burst onto the scene this season with a facile debut win in Class 4 before going on to check home a luckless third, beaten a neck second-up. Putting that run behind him, the up-and-comer went on to score his next three starts stylishly, which saw his rating rise hastily in a short matter of time and subsequently led to him being sent off the $2.3 market elect in the Hong Kong Derby.

BEAUTY ETERNAL could only manage third in the slowly-run Derby, going down by a head in a three-way go, but the form since has looked good. Horses fifth, sixth and seventh in the Derby, Straight Arron, Sword Point and Sweet Encounter ran first, second and third in the final race at Sha Tin last week, while ninth in the Derby, Encountered, is the other subsequent winner. BEAUTY ETERNAL will be suited back in trip on Sunday and looked sharp in his trial since. Stable mate, Tuchel, who was second in the Derby, looks likely to test his mettle and form the forecast.

It could be a big day for the Beauty Stable as they unleash smart-looking newcomer BEAUTY DESTINY in the Class 4 1200m Handicap in race 2.

Three-year-old BEAUTY DESTINY steps out under race day conditions for the first time, unbeaten in five barrier trials: two in Australia under the name Spitzer for Team Hawkes, and three in Hong Kong, all under the guidance of champion jockey Zac Purton. His first trial in Australia was eye-catching, rounding up multiple Group-placing three-year-old Zou Tiger with the utmost ease.

Trainer Frankie Lor has found a winnable Class 4 contest for BEAUTY DESTINY on his first start, and it’s safe to say he possesses far greater ability than this grade.
