1. AMBOISE – Runner-up on debut last year and 4th on her reappearance behind PISCOPIA (4).
Should have a role to play.
2. CHENNAMMA – Did not go unnoticed when finishing 5th on debut last year and would’ve
improved over the winter. One to note.
3. TONINA – One of several likely improvers in the lineup after a pleasing debut 5th. Could get
into the picture.
4. PISCOPIA – Quickened well when an eye-catching 2nd on debut and ought to have improved
for the experience. One to beat.
5. ESPERANCE – Modest 7th on debut but would’ve gained plenty from that experience, so
should have more to offer.
6. BUBBLE SIGN – Showed promise when finishing 3rd on debut behind two exciting prospects.
Will have more to offer.
7. SAANEN – Modest performer last year but improved to finish 3rd on her reappearance. More
needed.

Summary : With any improvement after an encouraging debut 2nd, PISCOPIA (4) should open
her account. BUBBLE SIGN (6) finished 3rd on her introduction in a good race, so is likely to fight
for victory. Runner-up on her debut last year and 4th on her reappearance behind the selection,
AMBOISE (1) ought to make her presence felt too with improved fitness on her side.
CHENNAMMA (2) did not go unnoticed in the Prix Ténébreuse on debut last term and is one to
note on her return.

SELECTIONS
PISCOPIA (4) – BUBBLE SIGN (6) – AMBOISE (1) – CHENNAMMA (2)

R2 – PRIX DE SAINT-JAMES – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 27.000

1. MARZOUK – Pleasing 4th on debut last year and confirmed that promise when 2nd on his
reappearance. Open to further progress.
2. ASLAN – Showed little last year but finished a much-improved 2nd on his reappearance.
Confirmation required.
3. BARBATE – Looked a winner in waiting when an eye-catching 3rd on debut in a newcomers’
race. Should pay to follow his progress.
4. CHAMP LIBRE – Has shown promise and a fair degree of ability but will need to raise his
game to get into the picture in this company. Place chance.
5. TRACK OF TIME – Another to have caught the eye on debut when 2nd at Chantilly. Should
have more to offer.
6. ZULU WARRIOR – Finished 3rd on debut last season and has been 2nd in both comeback
outings this year. Wouldn’t be winning out of turn.
7. WOODSTOCK CITY – Has both the form and experience to be competitive here. Will need to
improve to win but should have a role to play nonetheless.
8. HAMILTON – Newcomer by Johnny Barnes. Sébastien Maillot rides for P & F. Adda & Renaut.

Summary : BARBATE (3) caught the eye on debut when 3rd in a newcomers’ race and, with
improvement expected, is slightly preferred ahead of consistent ZULU WARRIOR (6) who is
overdue a maiden success after finishing 2nd in both comeback outings this year. TRACK OF
TIME (5) was a fast-finishing 2nd on his introduction and ought to make his presence felt if
confirming that promise. WOODSTOCK CITY (7) has the form and experience to play a role too.

SELECTIONS
BARBATE (3) – ZULU WARRIOR (6) – TRACK OF TIME (5) – WOODSTOCK CITY (7)

R3 – PRIX DE L’AVRE – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55.000

1. SIRJAN – Improving sort and capable frontrunner who could have things his own way in this
small field. Respected on his reappearance.
2. KARBURAN – Opened his account on the PSF at the third attempt and followed up in his first
start on the turf over this trip last time. Dark horse.
3. BACK TO BLACK – Progressive last-start winner who is closely matched on form with the
selection. Should have a role to play.
4. RUBIS VENDOME – Not disgraced at Group level last time and has both the form and
experience to make his presence felt here. Don’t underestimate.
5. WINTER PUDDING – Finished a commendable 2nd on his reappearance in a Listed race in his
first start on the grass. More to come.
6. CTE D’ESCARBAGNAS – Finished behind the top 2 when 4th on his reappearance and is
open to any amount of improvement. Not without a chance.

Summary : In this quality Listed race, it could pay to follow the progress of WINTER PUDDING
(5) who finished 2nd at this level on his reappearance over 2100m and, with improved fitness on
his side, is capable of going one better. BACK TO BLACK (3) was 3rd behind the selection before
his last-start success and ought to pose a threat. Improving SIRJAN (1) ended last season in
winning form and warrants respect on his return. Both RUBIS VENDOME (4) and CTE
D’ESCARBAGNAS (6) could get into the picture too.

SELECTIONS
WINTER PUDDING (5) – BACK TO BLACK (3) – SIRJAN (1) – RUBIS VENDOME (4)

R4 – GRAND HANDICAP DU PRINTEMPS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Handicap – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 70.000

1. NIGHTHAB – Has won 4 handicap races since August and is up a total of 11,5kg as a result.
Will not be suited by soft ground but he is in good form so cannot be ignored.
2. DIAMOND VENDOME – Winner at Group III level in 2019 and has rediscovered his form
recently, winning last time out. Will be hard to peg back if allowed to dictate terms.
3. BROUILLARD – Up 4kg for an impressive win at Compiègne last time under Théo Bachelot but
is capable of playing a role again. Not taken lightly.
4. INVINCIBLE LIGHT – Consistent sort who won a Quinté+ at this course in November. Returns
from a layoff with headgear on and could improve as a result, so warrants respect.
5. SAINT HELLIER – Shock winner of a Quinté+ at Deauville in December and has run better in 2
comeback races than his finishing positions suggest. Not one to underestimate.
6. ANOBE – Has been consistent in conditions races and finished 2nd on his reappearance at
Fontainebleau last time. Makes his handicap debut with a lively outside chance.
7. AMBOISE – Won 3 consecutive races including a Quinte+ on PSF before her winter break. Will
improve on a pleasing comeback 5th and booking of Soumillon catches the eye.
8. KHOCHENKO – Fibresand specialist who could be upset by the condition of the ground. His
wide draw does his chances no favour either, so has only a minor role.
9. CRAPS – Quinte+ winner 3 starts back and ran a better race last time than his 7th indicates,
thus proving his competitiveness off his current mark.Include.
10. ROBERTO MOUNT – Finished unplaced on his comeback but would’ve needed that outing. Is
refitted with blinkers which he wore when winning a Quinte+ on the PSF in December.
11. GAIDAR – Disappointing 8th in the Prix du Languedoc last time but should be a factor on his
previous form. Worth another chance.
12. L’ANTHARIS – Joined Andreas Suborics over the winter and has not gone unnoticed in both
starts for the stable this term. Could get a look in here, dark horse.
13. GREAT ROTATION – Has placed in 8 of 10 Quinté+ races and did not go unnoticed when
finishing 5th in his most recent outing. Ought to be competitive.
14. VA S’Y MIX – Finished a creditable 5th in the Prix du Languedoc last time after winning on his
reappearance. Will attract the attention of those who fancy an outsider.
15. LORENZO DE MEDICI – Has improved for the fitting of blinkers and held his own against
older rivals last time when 3rd in a Quinte on the PSF. Will need luck from a wide draw.
16. CLEOD’OR – Was rewarded for consistency when winning for the first time in almost 2 years
on the PSF in a handicap at Lyon-La Soie. Will find this a lot tougher up 2,5kg.
17. DOURIANN – Consistent and largely unexposed colt who was 3rd in a Quinte+ last time on
his handicap debut and will enjoy sticky conditions. Leading light.

Summary : DOURIANN (17) made a remarkable start to life at handicap level when 3rd in a
similar contest last time. He has yet to win a race and has, in fact, finished 3rd in all four of his
starts but could see his consistency rewarded here. CRAPS (9) won a Quinte at Cagnes-sur-Mer
three starts ago and run better than his finishing positions suggest in both subsequent outings,
including in this grade last time, so could stake a claim in the finish. GAIDAR (11) should not be
condemned for a disappointing run last time out and is capable of playing a leading role on the
strength of his prior form. Returning INVINCIBLE LIGHT (4), consistent GREAT ROTATION (13),
as well as last-start winner BROUILLARD (3) are others likely to get into the picture here. ANOBE
(6) and DIAMOND VENDOME (2) complete the shortlist after improved runs last time out.

SELECTIONS
DOURIANN (17) – CRAPS (9) – GAIDAR (11) – INVINCIBLE LIGHT (4)

R5 – PRIX GANAY – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – TURF – Group 1 – Group – Flat – EUR € 300.000

1. VADENI – Top three-year-old colt of last season and runner-up in the Arc when last seen. Has
the class to make a winning return but his fitness must be taken on trust.
2. REAL WORLD – Well-performed, lightly raced Godolphin entire. Was not at his best in Meydan
but is not incapable of bouncing back to form either.
3. SIMCA MILLE – High-class colt who won a Group II at ParisLongchamp on his reappearance.
Will be fitter than his market rivals as a result and could make it count here.
4. BAY BRIDGE – Group I Champions Stakes winner last year but has been absent since.
Capable of running a forward race on his reappearance but unlikely to be fully tuned.
5. IRESINE – A prolific, ultra-consistent performer who has the form and recent race fitness to
make his presence felt. Not without a chance.
6. JUNKO – Has been specifically aimed at this Group I whereas most of his rivals are using this
as a stepping stone into the season. Not taken lightly.
7. SABIO CEN – Sparingly raced Zarak colt who will be seriously tested here. Won on debut in
2021 and again in April 2022 but lost his unbeaten earlier this month.
8. PLACE DU CARROUSEL – Leading three-year-old filly of last season. Has been sparingly
raced so is open to improvement but has been off since winning the Prix de l’Opera in October.

Summary : The prestigious Group I Prix Ganay has attracted a small but stellar field. After a
winning return, it could pay to follow the progress of SIMCA MILLE (3) who, with the benefit of
that comeback run and race fitness, could get the better of Arc runner-up VADENI (1) and
Champions Stakes winner BAY BRIDGE (4) on their reappearances. JUNKO (6) and IRESINE
(5) ought to make their presence felt too.

SELECTIONS
SIMCA MILLE (3) – VADENI (1) – BAY BRIDGE (4) – JUNKO (6)

R6 – PRIX ALLEZ FRANCE LONGINES – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. BAIYKARA – Lightly raced Zarak filly who won a Group III last year. Has been inconsistent
since but remains open to improvement.
2. PLESANT JANE – An ultra-consistent filly who won at this track on her reappearance and is
the booking of Lanfranco Dettori. Unavoidable.
3. LA PARISIENNE – Proved a high-class three-year-old filly last season. Back from a lengthy
layoff but not incapable of playing a leading role on her return.
4. KENNELLA – Has lost her form and has it all to do these terms (on ratings/at the weights). Can
be ruled out here.
5. MANISHA – Caught the eye when finishing an encouraging 3rd in her comeback run. Could get
into the picture.
6. INDIA – Top German mare with solid form references to her name. Starts in France with a big
reputation in France so must be respected.
7. MQSE DE SEVIGNE – Showed her class at Group I level last year and will attract many votes
on her reappearance as a result. One to beat.
8. ABHAYAA – Showed early promise with 2 wins from her first 3 starts last year but has been
out of sorts since. Was 5th on the PSF at Kempton her return, has it all to do.
9. ROMAGNA MIA – Highly regarded Italian filly who has been absent since winning in Rome
back in October. Not taken lightly on her French debut.
10. ROGUE MILLENNIUM – Inconsistent but capable filly who could play a minor role after a
pleasing 2nd on the PSF at Kempton in her comeback outing.

Summary : MQSE DE SEVIGNE (7) is of particular interest here and is taken to make a winning
comeback. She is, only marginally, preferred to another returnee LA PARISIENNE (3) who
finished 2nd in last season’s Prix de Diane and an unlucky 3rd in the Prix Vermeille. Another back
after a winter break, INDIA (6) could also have a role to play on her reappearance. After winning
on her return at this track over 2100m, PLESANT JANE (2) ought to be competitive too.
MANISHA (5), with the benefit of a comeback run under the belt, completes the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
MQSE DE SEVIGNE (7) – LA PARISIENNE (3) – INDIA (6) – PLESANT JANE (2)
