1. CAPTAIN’S CHOICE – A bit below par on the last run, but won before that at Fontainebleau over
2600m on March 17th. Can play a role
2. TOLGANAI – A fair run when 3rd in a Class 1 at Lyon Parilly on April 18th. Has more progress
to come and looks like the main rival to the favourite
3. YES ZARA – A winner of a Class 2 race at this venue on April 26th over 2200m. Needs more
but should be involved
4. PERAMA – A good 3rd in a Listed race at Toulouse over 2100m on April 23rd. Should be more
than good enough
5. KAICLATHOLUKEV – Has had three runs so far over different trips. Needs a massive improved
effort to trouble some of these

Summary : A good third in a Listed race at Toulouse on April 23rd PERAMA (4) should be good
enough to win this, she is honest and this looks like an ideal race to get a nice confidence-boosting
victory. TOLGANAI (2) is open to plenty of improvement having only had two runs so far, he ran
well in a Class 1 race at Lyon Parilly on his latest start when finishing third. CAPTAIN’S CHOICE
(1) was a winner two starts ago and could be fighting out the runner-up position. YES ZARA (3) is
best of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
PERAMA (4) – TOLGANAI (2) – CAPTAIN’S CHOICE (1) – YES ZARA (3)

R2 – COUPE DE LA COBAS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 22.000

1. SAADI – Was 3rd at Compiegne over 2400m in a Class 2 race on May 2nd. He was 9.5L off the
winner and needs more. The drop in trip might help
2. ZALACAIN – Has had three runs in 2023, all of them out of the frame. This looks a step too far
3. LORCAN – Won over 1950m at Le Mans in late April. Wore cheekpieces that day and they are
retained. Others rate higher
4. LADY FRASQUITA – A decent effort when 2nd at Madrid (Spain) over 1600m on April 30th. Can
have a say in proceedings
5. ALMANZORA – A nice win by 0.5L at Bordeaux Le Bouscat over 1900m on April 8th. Sets a
good standard
6. POSTERITY – A winner at Marseille Borely over 2100m of a maiden on April 13th. Can make
presence felt
7. ENCHANTRES – Out of the frame on the latest outing, but a nice 2nd at Fontainebleau in a Class
2 on March 27th. Should be considered

Summary : ALMANZORA (5) was a good winner over 1900m at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on her latest
start on April 8th. She has been found a good opportunity by her connections to follow up. LADY
FRASQUITA (4) was second on her latest outing at Madrid (Spain) over 1600m and should be fine
over the extra 400m, she may be fighting out the runner-up position. POSTERITY (6) has to enter
calculations after a recent win at Marseille Borely on April 13th. ENCHANTRES (7) needs
consideration.

SELECTIONS
ALMANZORA (5) – LADY FRASQUITA (4) – POSTERITY (6) – ENCHANTRES (7)

R3 – PRIX MAISON DES PARENTS RONALD MC DONALD DE BORDEAUX – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Claiming – Flat – EUR € 15.000

1. ARAMITZ – A winner at Mont-De Marsan over 1600m in a claimer on April 15th. Sure to play a
role

two runs back over 1800m on March 23rd. Player
3. BLACK COSMO – A fair 4th on the all-weather surface over 2000m on the latest run. Looks
vulnerable
4. BLUE BAYOU – Out of the frame on the last three runs. 4th in a Listed race in October over
1600m. Drop in grade and should feature
5. MAIMOUNA – A fair 2nd at Mont-De-Marsan behind ARAMITZ (1) over 1600m. Is 2kg better off
and has 2L to find. Consider

handicap on March 22nd. Not to be overlooked

8. DIAMOND – Has three unplaced runs recently. 4th at Nimes over 1900m in February. Best

calculations
13. ENORINA – Has three unplaced efforts of late, 2nd before that was over 1500m. Can be avoided

Summary : With a bit of experience in these types of races ROI MERCURE (2) might just edge
this. ARAMITZ (1) is a recent winner of a claimer over 1600m at Mont-De Marsan and could be the
main threat. MAIMOUNA (5) is 2kg better off at the weights with ARAMITZ (1) as she was second
to him beaten 2L when they met at Mont-De- Marsan, so could turn that form around. GARDEN
PARK (6) could be involved at the business end if reproducing a second-placed effort over 1200m
at Toulouse in March.

SELECTIONS
ROI MERCURE (2) – ARAMITZ (1) – MAIMOUNA (5) – GARDEN PARK (6)

be involved
12. SVOUL – 3rd on the latest run in November 2022 at Angouleme over 1000m in a Class 3 race.
Others appeal more

(4) is seeking a hat-trick of wins after two over 1200m. The latest win was at Toulouse on the 23rd
of April in a Class 3 handicap. He is the main danger. JOSEJOSEPHINE (5) can bounce back to
form after a few below-par efforts and looks the each-way angle. ROSA PARKS (11) is capable of
being in the shake-up.

SELECTIONS

for the time being
13. VICTORY CAT – Did well when 4th on the latest run over 1600m on April 24th. Can give a good
account

the moment
16. JONH FOR ALWAYS – 2nd on the latest run over 1800m on May 8th in a Class 4 race. Needs
more to get involved

Summary : A good winner when last seen at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on April 24th, IDAHO JAMES
(1) holds every chance of following up. LA CATELLA (9) ran with plenty of credit when second at
Marseille Borely over 1700m on May 12th and will make life difficult for her rivals. SUPER CUTE
(8) can not be left out after a good second when last seen on April 24th. A good deal to like about
the second-placed effort of VIOU (2) at Saint-Cloud on May 5th gives her a good chance of being
on the premises.

SELECTIONS
IDAHO JAMES (1) – LA CATELLA (9) – VIOU (2) – SUPER CUTE (8)

R6 – PRIX DE LA VILLE DU TEICH – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 20.000

1. GIFT OF THE G – A good winner on the latest outing over 1600m at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on
April 24th. Major player
2. FLY D’ASPE – 3rd on the last run at Mont-De-Marsan in April over 2000m was a nice effort. Can
get involved
3. MASSA CHOP – Has had several unplaced runs of late over different trips. Hard to fancy
4. OXALIS – A winner of his last two races. The latter at Chantilly on April 28th over 1800m. Leading
chance
5. MASALA – Has dropped 5kg in the ratings after a few unplaced efforts. The best run was over
1800m, although that was last year. Can figure

(15) who was 2nd. Not to be overlooked

find a few too good

Others rate higher
10. ZOFFWALTZ – 4th at Toulouse on the last outing over 1200m on April 23rd. Could be in the

angle
12. NUIT D’ALIENOR – 4th two runs back at Royan over 1600m on April 2nd. Will need to do a lot
more

Ought to be in the shake-up
16. AFSHAR – 3rd two runs back at Pornichet in February over 1700m. Looks safely held

Summary : Top weight should not be enough to stop GIFT OF THE G (1) from following up on a
recent win over 1600m on April 24th. OXALIS (4) will be hard to beat as he seeks his third win in a
row, he looks like the biggest rival. ITALO (11) was third behind OXALIS (4) and has a bit of ground
to find with that rival, but can be in the shake-up. CHARM KING (15) did well when finishing second
on his last run and is one for the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
GIFT OF THE G (1) – OXALIS (4) – ITALO (11) – CHARM KING (15)

R7 – PRIX DU PILON DU ROI – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – TURF – Condition Race Qualifier – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 14.000

1. ASPEN – Recently ran 5th at this course over 2600m, has solid form and rates the one they all
have to beat
2. VERLAN – Has posted two average efforts since winning and others are preferred
3. SPORT COUPE – Won four starts back, ran an absolute cracker last time in 2nd over 1700m
and could go one better. He will be dangerous
4. BEIJINHO – Yet to win but has placed in most of his races. Has some overall solid form, was in
a Handicap last time and must be taken seriously
5. L’INDOMPTABLE – Brings some fair place form into the race and caught the eye when 2nd at
Nimes in April. An outsider with a place chance
6. MIRAGE REVE – Bright chance based on good 2nd at Cagnes in February, Roussel rides and
is very hard to dismiss. Good chance
7. VILLA ROYALE – Maxime Guyon rides. His form in January and February was good but recent
few a tad below best
8. PRINCE DECALAS – Last run was 6th at Marseille over 2600m in late 2022. More than likely to
need this and can be passed by despite having some place form
9. FORCE TRANQUILLE – She is holding form and her last run here over 1400m when finishing
4th was good enough to warrant inclusion in most bets
10. AL ZAHIRA – Placed six from six but does have it all to do for the win. Hard to fancy
11. FASHIONSPAN – A six time winner but is off form at the moment and others are preferred

Summary : ASPEN (1) finished 2nd, three runs back at Toulouse over 2400m and more recently
5th at this course over 2600m. He relishes the track and trip and sets the standard as far as the
win position goes. BEIJINHO (4) has raced 17 times for 11 places. The win eludes him but his last
performance was in a Handicap where he clearly was below best and can do much better now. He
has finished 4th and 2nd before and is no stranger to the course. Expect a huge effort from him.
SPORT COUPE (3) has fair form having tasted success four races back and running a blinder last
time over 1700m to grab 2nd place. A must for all bets and VILLA ROYALE (7) gets Guyon in the
saddle and is one to consider.

SELECTIONS
ASPEN (1) – BEIJINHO (4) – SPORT COUPE (3) – VILLA ROYALE (7)

R8 – PRIX BLANCHE – 1700m (a1 1/16m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. CAMBRONNE – Finished 2nd in a mile at Toulouse in his penultimate, which was in Listed
company. Has a serious chance of going close to getting it all right
2. PACIFIC BOY – Has finished 2nd in his last three, knows the track well but takes a considerable
rise in class. Outside place chance at best
3. HAYEJOHN – Has won a Listed race at Vichy, albeit late last year but will have claims in this.
One for the short list and should make his presence felt
4. BOZZO – Takes a hike in class and cannot be selected based on average form shown recently.
Can be ignored
5. IZASTEP – Has won four from only nine starts but does take a rise in class but looks up to the
task at hand. Solid form and has strong claims.
6. MQSE DE MAINTENON – A filly with class and ability. Has run in some strong features and
could be very hard to beat and a possible banker on the card

Summary : MQSE DE MAINTENON (6) is a filly with ability. She has competed at Listed and
Graded levels before and should be very hard to peg back. IZASTEP (5) is Antonio Orani’s ride
and this individual has already recorded four victories from as little as nine starts. He rises in class
but ran a cracker last time when winning well over 1700m at this circuit suggesting he could step
up to the task. He may battle to pass the first choice but should be right there at the finish.
CAMBRONNE (1) has a rating of 45,5 and should be involved and HAYE JOHN (3) won a Listed
at Vichy late last year and has held his own since. Respect and include.

SELECTIONS
MQSE DE MAINTENON (6) – IZASTEP (5) – CAMBRONNE (1) – HAYEJOHN (3)
