Race Summary: Summary: KNOCKOUT (11) made a smart local debut for Justin Snaith around the Greyville turn. With two runs under her girth down the straight she should run a big race. PRINCESS ARLOWE (9) and AVERNI PRINCESS (10) both raced green on debut on this course and sure to have come on with the experience. SECRET WINX (13) has been rested but is held in high regard by the stable and is one to watch in the market. BABY LOVE (7) was a beaten favourite last run but the extra furlong could see her improve.

Race Summary: Summary: Wide open. QUESTION OF FAITH (1) was well beaten on debut but the winner looks a fair sort. Experience could count. YANNAKIS (2) was also a distant third on debut but did race very green and should come on from that effort. CANFORD ICE (5) gives apprentice Trent Mayhew is first ride in the professional ranks but was an accomplished work rider so cannot be written off lightly with his 4kg claim. MC DAZZLER (9) is a nicely bred first timer and one to watch in the market.

Race Summary: Summary: Lucky Houdalakis sends out DREAMLAND (11) who has some promising Highveld form. He was touched off in first time blinkers and can make amends. GALAXY EXPLORER (7) was much improved second time out for Tony Rivalland. Both runs have been over a furlong further but his experience should count in his favour. GREENSIDE (10) found some market support on debut and although well beaten he is likely to make good improvement. CONNOISSEUR (8) raced very green on debut and is sure to come on from that.

Prior to that Paul Lafferty’s charge was a smart second in a feature over course and distance and with the going likely to be back on top she looks well in. LADY TIPTREE (8) has been consistent and her last two outings have also been in the soft. Serino Moodley stays aboard Glen Kotzen’s runner. ICE SENSATION (7) raced in Gr1 company last outing and was not too far back. She takes a big drop in class for Andre Nel. The Duncan Howells runner AQUAE SULIS (6) is a giant of a mare who has been consistent and goes well over course and distance.

Wendy Whiteheads gelding is in the form of his life. PARTONAGE (2) is back over his best course and distance and must have a chance in a competitive handicap.

Race Summary: Summary: Dean Kannemeyer holds a strong hand here with three runners in a small field but stable rider Keagan de Melo has opted for RUNAWAY SONG (5) who looks to have the right credentials although this will be his first attempt a 2400m. Not having gone further than a mile, one must take his stamina on trust but Kannemeyer is a master at training horses that stay a trip. Tony Peter has made a fine start to his training career and sends out confirmed stayer SHANGANI (4). Best draw a line through his Gold Bowl performance and he has excellent form over this trip. Mike de Kock sends out ARAGOSTA (2) who has been consistent of ate and stays the trip well. He is a July entry but will have to win with authority if he is to make the final line-up. AIRWAYS LAW (10 is another July entry but has lost his way of late although his last effort after a break was over a trip way short of his best.

Race Summary: Summary: Competitive. HOLD MY HAND (2) has been in cracking form and although not managing to win, Glen Kotzen’s filly has been right up there with the best. Piere Strydom is down to partner LIGHT OF THE MOON (10) for Barend Botes and there was only half-a-length separating the two in the Woolavington. Botes seldom travels unless he feels his charges have good winning chances. Lucky Houdalakis sends out SA Oaks winner NONE OTHER (7) who has not stamina limitations. She was not far behind Hold My Hand when last they met and these three should finish on top of each other. DAWNOFANEWDAY (5) is getting better as she goes further and has only twice finished out of the money in 19 starts.

TEMPTING FATE (9), now with Dean Kannemeyer, showed up well first run back from a break for his new stable and he has done well on this course. FAUSTINO (12) is quick and is over his best course and distance. He hates the poly and this is his third run for his new stable. ISHNANA (4) is a course and distance specialist and although getting on in years he is always dangerous.

MISS PAGET (10) made her local debut on the poly and improved nicely on her modest debut effort. The trip should suit. FREE WILL (1) improved nicely second time out and the Gary Rich stable appears to be turning the corner after re-locating to Summerveld. She has the best of the draw. DOCTOR’S ORDERS (12) has a wide draw but is also coming on along the right way.
