FORWARD SPELL (7) showed good improvement at his second poly start. The stable is in form. NATIONAL DREAM (8) had his consistency rewarded last start but does step up in class and took a nine-point hit in the handicap for his last win.

Carl Hewitson has booked champion jockey elect for RISE (1). The mare’s form is nothing to write home about but she does have first time blinkers. SEA GODDESS (7) showed some improvement on the poly last run when taking on stronger and has an upset chance.

He has a fair weight to shoulder but looks to be the right one. PROSPER’S GIFT (8) improved nicely second run after a break with blinkers and Nathan Kotzen’s runner should be right there. ONE TOO MANY (1) goes well over course and distance and with a claiming apprentice up should be competitive for Kom Naidoo. MOVIE MAGIC (10) has a wide draw and returns from a lengthy break but he has good form over the trip. He may just need it.

She has bottom weight with a top gate and Corine Bestel’s mare could follow up. ICE STAR (2) won on debut on the Highveld but her subsequent form has been moderate. However, she must have a chance of improving in this line-up.

He is highly consistent and with a 1.5kg claimer up he could be the right one. SUPER SILVER (5) is the choice of stable rider Tristan Godden for Mike Miller. The gelding has his third run after a break, down in class and over his preferred trip. CAPTAIN ROCKET (2) won well first up on the poly bating a hard-knocker comfortably and appeared to enjoy the synthetic surface.
