Race Summary: WINNING GRACE did not show much in two starts but quickened nicely when chasing home the winner last time. That was on the turf, and she did not do anything on the Polytrack in her penultimate start. She is still the one to beat. EXCLUSIVELY YOURS is improving and ran well last time out on this surface so is a threat. PEACE FROG makes his local and Polytrack debut and could improve. SI GIOCA can improve off the debut. STAGE PLAY should contest the finish as well.

Race Summary: FIERY CLIFFS has improved with every run at this centre and his winning turn should come soon. AFRODITE returned to form with a nice run last time and should be the biggest threat. ROYAL VENUS ran on well in her penultimate start but disappointed last time. She can bounce back and place. FIRE CHASER has not been beaten far in two starts and should have more to offer so keep an eye on the betting.

Race Summary: An interesting race. WILDEST DREAMS has been a revelation of late with some nice wins but it all needs to fall right with her and in this small field an upset could be lurking. GOLIGHTLY likes the Polytrack but is better over 1600m. PHOENIX has run better races in stronger fields than this but has been disappointing of late. AERIAL VIEW was a bit disappointing last time out after a nice win and more aggressive tactics may well work this time. HEARTSEASE is consistent and should be right there at the finish as well.

Race Summary: GOLD FOR AFRICA is improving with each run and looked an unlucky loser last time out. The extra 100m of this race will suit her nicely. RAGSAA has been running on well at the finish in her recent runs and looks likely to fight out the finish. BALLYCOTTON is battling to win but could finish in the money. RACINANTE probably prefers the turf but she will be running on when others have cried enough and has a place chance.

Race Summary: A tough race and we may need to go wide in all the exotics. GREEN FALCON is improving so could be the right one for this handicap but does present jockey S’manga Khumalo with a tricky draw. SILVERY BLUE is very consistent but battles to finish off her races. SILVER STARDUST is clearly a difficult ride but is probably running over the course and distance that suits him most and he will be right there at the finish. ESSOS was not disgraced when fifth last time out and could finish in the money.

Race Summary: WAZ WOUTER can do the job. He was not disgraced when run out of it late on the turf last time and could be better on the Polytrack. DUKE OF ORANGE has not won for some time and often gives start away but has a winning chance. EUPHORIC is better over a bit further but is also clearly not out of it. PASTUNWALI has taken to the Polytrack and could make further improvement. WIND SOCK jumps from a good gate and is course-and-distance suited so include in all bets.

Race Summary: Probably the toughest of the whole card. Trainer Sharon Kotzen has her horses in good form and GLASS SHOES is the one to beat although 1200m does stretch her. VIHZOE’S MAGIC is better than the last run. HILDELITA has been disappointing of late but could bounce back. UNYIELDING makes her local debut. QUICK COUNT returns to the Polytrack and will do a lot better this time. RIDE THE LIGHTNING and AIMEE’S IDOL are in good form and hold a winning chance.

Race Summary: GREAT MELODY has picked up three handicaps this year and there is no reason he cannot win again. It was a strong aggressive ride that did the trick last time out. COASTAL PATH has a shocking draw for jockey Richard Fourie to deal with but he has the ability to be right there at the finish. MISS ROSE is well drawn and is course-and-distance suited so is an obvious danger. WARBONNET CREEK likes the Polytrack so the last run is safely ignored, and he could earn some more money.
