Course A will be in operation with the rail out 4m for the twelve race program headlined by the 1200m Supreme B contest (Race 9).
Once again, the highly rated AWESOME STORM (1) will more than likely jump as race favorite based on his consistent form at this level. There no doubting his class but he can be vulnerable on occasions, especially if there is midrace pressure applied but going on his recent 2nd in the G1 Tunku Gold Cup, he still has the capacity to win against a strong lineup. CHINESE TEA (9) is a progressive type who was far from disgraced in the Tunku Cup when drawing wide to finish midfield and only 2.5 lengths from the winner. The lightly raced gelding has a good record of 5 wins from 15 starts in the country and is capable of stepping up to the next level. EXCELLING (4) is another handy sprinter which can improve from his first up effort in an 1100m Supreme A contest here on June 11. The eight year old had been off the scene for nearly a year and had no luck from the wide barrier. KONG FU PANDA (10) returned to form last start with a fast finishing 2nd in that same race while VIOLET (2) is normally an on speed runner and gets a chance to strike for the first time this season.
The 1200m Max Two Stakes (Race 10) is another interesting contest where impressive last start winner SKYLIGHT (7) will be attempting to maintain his unbeaten record in the country. The five year old was unplaced in five Singapore starts but struck immediately, scoring by 3.25 lengths after leading throughout in a Class 4 race. SUSPICIOUS MIND (5) is coming off a couple of Class 4 placings since breaking his maiden tag back in March and is ideally placed under these race conditions. RS DIAGO (1) will find this a much easier contest and looks a chance despite the top weight and wide barrier. EMPHATIC (6) has attracted market support since his maiden victory earlier this year but has been competitive while GIANT KILLING (4) caught the eye with a fast finishing 3rd here a fortnight ago.
