In-form four year old MYSTERIOUS CAPTAIN appears well placed for a winning hat trick when he steps out in the 1250m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
MYSTERIOUS CAPTAIN is building a good record in Malaysia since debuting back in November last year recording 3 wins and 2 placings from 10 starts. The New Zealand bred performer is coming off successive victories over the 1275m trip on Track Two, his most recent an all the way win a fortnight ago.
MYSTERIOUS CAPTAIN defied the class rise on that occasion when scoring at Class 4 level for the first time and despite the jump in weight, he should prove hard to beat again.
Dragon set to soar on Sunday
Following two encouraging efforts this preparation, six-year-old galloper DRAGON RYKER appears on target to break through in the 1250m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur this Sunday.
DRAGON RYKER resumed from a four-month spell on May 28 and sat on the pace when going down by a short head over 1100m. The Simon Dunderdale trained performer stepped up to the 1400m trip here three weeks ago and worked forward from gate 11 to lead before he was overhauled to finish 3rd, beaten a half length.
Apprentice, Clyde Leck rode DRAGON RYKER to successive wins in July last year and the pair should prove to be a formidable combination this weekend.
