Race Preview
R1 – GRAND PRIX D’AIX-LES-BAINS – 1800m (a1 1/8m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. INDIAN PACIFIC – Far from disgraced last time out against stronger. Down in Class, he should
be able to make a bold bid. Each way chance
2. LAOS – Last won towards the end of 2022 but recent performances suggest that he’s getting
closer to that next win. Include
3. LOUIS DE BAVIERE – Won three starts back over 2000m but needs to bounce back.
Improvement needed
4. ROCQUEMONT – Last start winner over 1600m. Up in Class and will need to step up. More
required
5. ZACAPO – Debut run in France and is required to take a huge step forward. Others preferred
6. SOLIMAN – His last two efforts have been below par but he is better than that and could improve
here. Place chance
7. LOKMAN – Can hardly put a foot wrong at the moment. Narrowly touched off last time out but
looks set to bounce back. Strong claims
8. BAZOQUES – Very inconsistent individual that won his penultimate start and if producing that
level of form here he could have a chance. Place claims
Summary : LOKMAN (7) is a fairly talented sort that is in good heart currently and should make
his presence felt in a big way here. INDIAN PACIFIC (1) is very capable and isn’t one to take lightly
despite not producing his best of late. LAOS (2) is the type that we’ve got to keep on the safe side
as his next victory is not too far away. SOLIMAN (6) can build on recent form to run an improved
race here.

R2 – PRIX LOUIS DE ROUSSY DE SALES – 2500m (a1 9/16m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 16.000
1. WONDER HOPE – Won with a bit in hand last time out over track and trip. Big runner
2. CHONATA – Maiden from 12 starts that needs to show more. Others preferred
3. ISKANDAR – His recent form isn’t anything to write home about but retains the ability to win a
race of this nature. Should run well
4. CROCUS BORGET – Finished 5th over track and trip last time out behind Wonder Hope and has
a bit to find but could bridge the gap. Include
5. FEDE GALIZIA – No wins from 21 career runs but remains an honest sort. Place chance
6. AMIATA – Ignore last run, on her penultimate run behind Wonder Hope she could go well. Each
way claims
7. ALMAZORA – Has not won a race since 2021 but is getting closer with each run. Finished 3rd
behind the re-opposing Wonder Hope last time out. One for the shortlist
8. DARENIX – Moderate sort that remains win less from 34 runs. Would be a shock winner
9. LADIE SALSA – Not in the best shape of late and needs to up her game. Hard to recommend
10. EVALAUR CHOPE – Needs to build on recent efforts. Others preferred
11. ARVINNI – Comes into this with average form and would take a lot to get involved. Others
inspire more confidence
Summary : A contest that won’t take a lot of winning and therefore a chance in taken on ISKANDAR
(3) who doesn’t represent the strongest of form but has the class to win this. WONDER HOPE (1)
won well last time out and looks to be on the up. CROCUS BORGET (4) has bits and pieces of
form but on his last run, there is a chance he can go well. ALMAZORA (7) has not been too far off
recently and could get into the mix.

R3 – PRIX DE BELLEY – 2500m (a1 9/16m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 19.000
1. INTERIEUR – Winner of his last start over 2000m. Goes further now which could be a concern
given all wins have been over shorter. Big player nonetheless
2. GOOD QUESTION – Below par last two runs but if putting those behind him, he could run an
improved race. Place chance at best
3. MDRACAFEU – Best to ignore his most recent effort and judge him on previous form. Each way
claims
4. TRICK OF THE MIND – Solid performance when finishing 2nd at his last start. One for the
shortlist
5. ZLARA – Got that overdue second career win last time out and with confidence on her side she
could go in again. Should make a bold bid
6. TAPETEN TONI – Significant step up in trip and if he stays then he could well get involved. Place
claims
7. BEB’S – Has got fair form. Winner three starts back and if producing that form here could well
get into it. Don’t ignore
8. INNIS – In and out sort that bears close watching. If he pitches up on the day then he could be a
player. Hard to follow
9. DARLYVI – Won over 2000m last time out and now steps up in trip which could suit. Dark horse
here
10. EUSTACHE – Not at best of late and doesn’t inspire much confidence. Hard to recommend
11. SCHERWOOD – Brings moderate form into this event. Would be a shock winner
12. ULTIME NONANTAISE – Winner three starts back but has not confirmed that form in two
previous outings. Improvement needed
Summary : ZLARA (5) won her most recent outing and her confidence would have been done a
world of good. She should give a good sight. INTERIEUR (1) goes over further and if it doesn’t
affect him then he should run a huge race. TRICK OF THE MIND (4) put in a good display when
running a close up 2nd last time out and can’t be dismissed here. TAPETEN TONI (6) has been
very effective over shorter but now takes a big rise in distance and if he sees out the extra yardage
then he could be one to follow.
