In-form galloper ICHIKA BACHIKA appears on queue to strike again on the class upgrade in the 1400m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
ICHIKA BACHIKA is coming off successive victories since returning from a short spell, both wins at Class 5 level. The Simon Dunderdale-trained gelding was produced first-up for just under two months when successful here over 1300m on June 4, scoring comprehensively by 4.75 lengths.
ICHIKA BACHIKA was freshened before finishing powerfully from midfield in scoring over 1500m earlier this month. The seven-year-old does tend to maintain form and is a proven performer against this company having recorded three wins at Class 4 level in the past.
Suspicious Mind bound for winning return
Consistent performer SUSPICIOUS MIND has an opportunity to double his win tally in the 1200m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
SUSPICIOUS MIND broke his maiden tag over 1300m back in March but has since maintained good form in recent Class 4 events. The five-year-old wasn’t disgraced when finishing runner-up to promising and locally unbeaten mare Skylight in a Max Two Stakes event a fortnight ago.
SUSPICIOUS MIND has posted two placings from three starts at Class 4 level and looks ideally placed to break through in the grade for the first time this weekend.
