Course A will be back in operation for the two days of racing at the Selangor Turf Club this weekend with the rail back in the true position.
Saturday’s card will consist of Class 5 and Class 4 events in what appears to be a challenging nine race program for punters.
ICHIKA BACHIKA (4) will be upgraded to Class 4 but has struck form this preparation as he aims for the hat trick in Race 4 over 1400m. The 7yo has won two from two this campaign as Jackson Low retains the mount. INHERIT (2) has only scored once from eleven starts in the country but is a model of consistency and deserves another tilt following narrow defeats by a neck and then a head at his past two outings. The lightly raced JOEY (6) had always promised so much in the past until finally delivering with successive wins here over 1200m. The 5yo makes his class 4 debut and now the penny has dropped for the gelding, another forward showing would not surprise. MAGNOLIA BLVD (7) scored at big odds here two starts back and was a fraction unlucky when suffering a check mid race when a close 4th a month ago and looks a trifecta chance when he fronts up for the new stable.
SUSPICIOUS MIND (2) has been competitive in a couple of Class 4 races recently and gets his chance to return to winning form in Race 5 over the 1200m trip. A maiden winner back in March, the 5yo is a fast and reliable beginner and is ready to strike as he comes off a good effort in a strong Max Two Stakes race last start. ESTIJAAB (3) is rarely far off the mark and will be freshened. The gelding has maintained form by posting a trial win on Tuesday morning and should attract some market support. LINCOLN MOONLIGHT (4) has only started twice this year and will resume from a two month break. The gelding’s first up record reads well and is a proven performer in the grade. ACROBAT (1) hasn’t been far away in stronger races this season and despite the rise in weight, he has a chance to bounce back on the downgrade.
