each way

over 1600m in mid July. Big runner
3. CALGARY – Is rated 38,5, was a cozy winner this month over 1700m at Castera-Verduza and
is selected to follow up
4. SKY POWER – Has won 6 times and raced in Listed company before. Attractive 3rd over 1400m
at Dieppe last time. Big chance

Frankel out of an Oasis Dream mare. Watch
6. GUADALEST – Taking time to win again and currently off form. Hard to fancy
7. LADY PINK – She is taking time to win again but can make her presence felt based on best form.
Include

winner

April. Might need the run. Place chance
10. BEAUTIFUL ASPEN – Ran a good race last time over 1900m in a Handicap at Deauville and
can threaten. Good chance

Summary : CALGARY (3) has won two out of his last three starts and looks set to continue on
winning ways. GAIDAR (1) can put his below par effort last time behind him and get much closer
now. SKY POWER (4) was in a Listed race two starts back and back in this class, can threaten the
top two. LADY PINK (7) has not won yet, this year, but has posted some fair races to suggest that
she will score one of these days. Include.

SELECTIONS
CALGARY (3) – GAIDAR (1) – SKY POWER (4) – LADY PINK (7)

R2 – PRIX DU MAURITIUS TURF CLUB – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 23.000

1. CASAURINA – Smart debut in June over 1300m at Craon and with natural improvement could
prove a hard horse to oppose
2. LUIZA BERE – Is an outsider but can be expected to build on debut 6th at Craon. Can improve
to place
3. SEVEN ANGELS – Will need to improve a lot on her unattractive debut at Compiegne. Prefer
others
4. EXIGENCE – Never shone on debut when downfield over 1400m at Compiegne but plenty
improvement could be on the cards
5. ALOVEMINE – Finished 2nd on debut at Saint-Cloud and then 5th at the same venue, both races
over 1400m. Expect a huge run
6. ROUANITA – Has not shown any talent in both races thus far and would be a shock winner
7. VERMELHO – She showed good improvement from run one to run two and can be expected to
build on her 3rd at Strasbourg over 1400m

market trends closer to race time

Summary : CASAURINA (1) caught the eye on debut and can improve to be tough to oppose.
VERMELHO (7) showed encouraging improvement at her second start and surely has a lot more
to offer again and should be right there. EXIGENCE (4) never really shone first time at the races
but can be expected to come on from the racing experience and ALOVEMINE (5) has shown some
spark in both her runs and is a must for the quartet.

SELECTIONS
CASAURINA (1) – VERMELHO (7) – EXIGENCE (4) – ALOVEMINE (5)

R3 – PRIX DU PERE BILLARD (PRIX DE LA COTE D’EMERAUDE) – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 23.000

close to winning if not in too much need of the run
2. KEDUREV – Plenty scope to build on fair 5th at Nantes over 1400m in June. Strong chance
3. BATEAU BLANC – Ran a cracker on debut finishing 2nd over 1400m at Saint-Cloud and looks
to be one of the better bets on the card.
4. CLIFFS OF MOHER – Makes his debut, has the pedigree being by Holy Roman Emperor out of
a Lope De Vega mare. Watch the betting trends
5. CITY SKY – His mare Sea And Sky was unraced, he is by City Light and could run well on debut,
but watch the betting
6. CARDINALE – A son of Wootton Bassett making his debut. Watch the betting trends but could
need the run

Summary : BATEAU BLANC (3) finished second on debut and is confidently selected to go one
better and achieve the gold. CLIFFS OF MOHER (4) is a son of Holy Roman Emperor that makes
the debut and could be good enough to go close first up. STARZO FAL (1) has placed three from
three and should not be a maiden for too much longer. Expect a bold effort and KEDUREV (2) has
done enough thus far to warrant inclusion in most bets.

SELECTIONS
BATEAU BLANC (3) – CLIFFS OF MOHER (4) – STARZO FAL (1) – KEDUREV (2)

each way chance
4. FLANQUEUR DE BRENU – Has solid overall form and must be respected based on his last run
when 2nd at Les Sables over 2700m. Big runner
5. CHELSEA DU NINIAN – Her last run can be ignored, solid form before that and is one for the
shortlist. Good chance
6. WEST MARTIN – Is in a rich vein of form, attractive 3rd over 2500m at Deaville recently and can
finish in the first four
7. LE DUC – Never shone last time but won before that over 2200m at Rostrenen
8. PUTUMAYO – Is in tremendous recent form and could be the value in the race. Won at
Parislongchamp recently. Do not ignore
9. QUARTZDARGENT – Is currently off form and would need to do a ton more to threaten here.
Pass by
10. IRISH SOUL – Has been holding form since last win late last year and despite being an outsider,
could threaten

Summary : MON VIEUX LEON (1) brings solid, consistent and winning form into the race. He has
every chance of reeling off the hattrick. ALLIGATE (3) is clearly loving France as his form suggests
that. If he were to follow up with another win, it would be no shock at all. RAINBOW WARRIOR (2)
was a winner four starts back and can build on his below par last effort. Respect and include.
FLANQUEUR DE BRENU (4) has a strong place chance.

SELECTIONS
MON VIEUX LEON (1) – ALLIGATE (3) – RAINBOW WARRIOR (2) – FLANQUEUR DE

1. THE FOOTMAN – Fair 5th at Nantes last time but is still a maiden. Should run into the money.
Chance
2. ANATH – She is selected to win again. Her recent victory was impressive over 2000m at AixLes-Bains. Hard to oppose
3. HOPE D’AZE – Has had only a handful of races to date and more than likely has has some
improvement to come. Respect and include
4. SAGLYACAT – She is never too far off the action but much more needed for the win. Others
preferred
5. MYKAN – He finished 3rd over 2400m at Parislongchamp in June and should go very close to
winning. Each way chance
6. ARMORIGENE – Was a winner four starts back over 2500m at Deauville but has not shone
since. Prefer others
7. COIGNY – Finished 5th last time and won before that over 2400m at Clairefontein. Outsider that
could place
8. BELEAVE YOU – Attractive 3rd over 2250m at Parislongchamp last time and must be taken
seriously. Strong place chance
9. PRINCE PEDRO – Modest recent form and is an outside place chance at best. Prefer others
10. LADY STRAIGHT – Is taking time to win again but can get into the action and place. A must for
the quartet
11. RONCHEROLLES – Would be a shock winner based on recent form and is hard to fancy
12. FAN ZONE – She needs to find a few lenghts based on current form and would be a surprise
winner. Pass by
13. PREMIO – Was a solid victor last time over 3200m at Erbray and could follow up. One for the
shortlist. Good chance
14. ADMIRALTY ARCH – Taking time to win again but has popped up and run some fair races
recently. Could earn

Outside chance based on that

Summary : ANATH (2) bounced right back to winning ways last time and is selected to record
back-to-back victories. MYKAN (5) is a tad erratic but showed in his last run that he is near ready
to record his next career victory. BELEAVE YOU (8) has fair recent form and must be included in
most bets. He has more of a place chance than a winning one and HOPE D’AZE (3) can improve
on recent form to earn a cheque.

SELECTIONS
ANATH (2) – MYKAN (5) – BELEAVE YOU (8) – HOPE D’AZE (3)
