Promising performer SKYLIGHT appears on target of maintain her unbeaten Malaysian record as she aims for the hat-trick in the 1275m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
Following five unplaced efforts in Singapore, SKYLIGHT has discovered her niche since joining the Ipoh stables of Stephen Cook earlier this year. The five-year-old has been impressive in both victories with an accumulative winning margin of ten lengths.
After breaking the maiden tag in a Class 4 contest on June 4, SKYLIGHT once again led throughout and dominated in a Max Two Stakes race scoring by 5.75 lengths. Despite this being her biggest test, the mare has drawn well and will prove hard to beat if she finds an easy lead.
Invisible on queue for successive victories
Last-start winner, INVISIBLE will have his chance of posting back-to-back wins in the 1275m Class 5 contest on Saturday at Selangor.
INVISIBLE had been racing with little luck this preparation before everything panned out well for the gelding last start. The seven-year-old was well supported to start race favourite when leading throughout for a short-head victory at this track and distance on June 18.
Rookie apprentice, Seelan Mahondran opened his winning account at his first race ride aboard Black Quail when it dead heated here three weeks ago. The 4kg weight relief should prove beneficial as the apprentice will ride INVISIBLE for the first time this weekend.
The King can retain his crown
Vastly-improved galloper KING OF GLORY can extend the winning streak when he steps out in the 1775m Class 5 race at Selangor this Saturday.
KING OF GLORY has discovered a new lease on life since joining the Selangor stables of leading trainer Richard Lines earlier this year, posting three wins from seven starts. The eight-year-old capped off the winning hat-trick and was never in doubt when leading throughout at this track and distance on June 18.
KING OF GLORY took 47 starts before to break his maiden tag at Ipoh in May last year but is currently in racing in career-best form, and despite drawing the outside gate, he will prove hard to beat again.
