Race Preview
R1 – PRIX DE LA BASSE AUTOMNE (PRIX DE LA VALLEE DE L’AUTOMNE) – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 30.000
1. STANGHELI – Revealed potential when runner-up on debut. Will be wiser to the task now and
gets 2,5kg off the back
2. GOLD INDEX – Confirmed promise of his debut (3rd) by finishing 3rd again last time behind
STANGHELI (1). Has a role to play
3. UNE PEINTURE – Improved to finish 3rd of 6 last time but was disqualified for being underweight.
Not taken lightly
4. PRINCIPITO – Sparked some improvement last time (3rd) and could get into the picture if building
on that progress
5. WINNING FORMULA – Finished an encouraging 2nd on debut and would’ve gained plenty from
that experience. Will be a factor
Summary : STANGHELI (1), from the powerful Fabre stable, and WINNING FORMULA (5), who
is trained by an expert with two-year-olds in Fabrice Chappet, are likely to fight for victory after
promising introductions. Both finished 2nd on debut and ought to have come on for that experience,
so should have more to offer. GOLD INDEX (2), with the advantage of having had an extra run,
has the form to be competitive too.
SELECTIONS
STANGHELI (1) – WINNING FORMULA (5) – GOLD INDEX (2) – UNE PEINTURE (3)
R2 – PRIX DU POLYGONE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Claiming – Flat – EUR € 19.000
1. ST BRIAC – Finished 3rd two starts back but has since failed to confirm that improvement. Must
improve to feature
2. UGATZAI – Unplaced in both outings but did not go unnoticed last time (6th). Could improve to
get into the picture
3. FASNY – Showed signs of a return to form by finishing 4th in her last start. Can get into the
picture if confirming
4. LAMAJESTIK – Won a similar contest at this track last month and on that evidence can be
forgiven a disappointing last start
5. MA MOME – Already a winner at this level, she need only to prove her effectiveness over this
distance to win again. One to beat
6. URBAN CHOPE – Has made no impression in either outing and is unlikely to trouble the judge
here. Others preferred
7. CHAPUZA – Has maintained a fair degree of form and consistency, so ought to be competitive.
Should have a role to play
8. RAINBOW QUEEN – Has finished unplaced in both starts and will need to improve to get a look
in. For another day
Summary : MA MOME (5) has a theoretical winning chance but must prove that her effectiveness
ove this distance, which she tries for the first time. It is worth noting, however, that Cristian Demuro
has opted to partner her instead of CHAPUZA (7). The latter is likely to play a leading role
nonetheless with Maxime Guuon taking the ride. LAMAJESTIK (4) is capable of better than a
disappointing recent effort (9th) and should not be written off just yet. FASNY (3) completes the
shortlist.
SELECTIONS
MA MOME (5) – CHAPUZA (7) – LAMAJESTIK (4) – FASNY (3)
R3 – PRIX DE LA THIERACHE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 30.000
1. MAIZIERES – Did not go unnoticed when finishing 7th on debut at Saint-Cloud and would have
gained plenty from that experience. Keep safe
2. LA ROCHETTE – Finished 3rd on debut at this venue and that track experience, with natural
improvement likely, will stand her in good stead. Respect
3. KOUPRA – Finished unplaced on debut but would’ve come on since with the benefit of that
outing. Could do better
4. MADEMOISELLE LILLY – Outran big odds when finishing 3rd of 14 on debut over this distance.
Should improve so not taken lightly
5. LISIMBA – Would have benefited enormously from a pleasing introductory outing and will be
wiser to the task now. Has a role to play
6. RITA AURORA – Consistent filly with good references and both the form and experience to make
her presence felt. Dark horse
7. SHADY LADY – Showed considerable promise in a competitive race on debut (4th) and with any
improvement could open her account
8. IN THE STARS – Well-bred Waldemar Hickst-trained Sea The Stars debutante. Respected with
Cristian Demuro in the irons
9. GOLD SCATTERED – Bauyrzhan Murzabayev rides this Vaclav Luka-trained Shamalgan filly on
debut. Best watched for now
Summary : SHADY LADY (7) made an encouraging start to her career in a coveted maiden at
Deauville and will improve with the benefit of that experience, so is taken to open her account at
the expense of LISIMBA (5), who will have more to offer after a pleasing introductory outing.
MAIZIERES (1) will be wiser to the task now too and with Maxime Guyon aboard could have a say.
Of the remainder, LA ROCHETTE (2) and newcomer IN THE STARS (8) make most appeal.
SELECTIONS
SHADY LADY (7) – LISIMBA (5) – MAIZIERES (1) – LA ROCHETTE (2)
R4 – PRIX PELLEAS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55.000
1. BRAVAIS – Unexposed colt who has already revealed serious promise/ability. Could be even
better over this distance
2. ALASHAR – Has finished 2nd in three of his last four starts and did win the other. Bumped a
smart sort last time (2nd) and should have a role to play here
3. DEVIL IN THE SKY – Smart colt with a progressive profile. Finished 4th in the Group III Prix du
Lys and on that form should play a leading role here
4. WOODCHUCK – Progressive gelding who has improved since his debut 2nd to win consecutive
starts over this trip. Cannot be discounted
5. BIRR CASTLE – Capable colt but has been inconsistent this term. Finished 3rd at this level over
1600m, needs to confirm
6. MISTER MISTER – Did not go unnoticed in the Group III Gallinule Stakes last time so could have
a say here on the strength of that form. Place chance
7. PYRUS – Unbeaten in two starts this year but will need to raise his game again to be competitive
here. Outsider
8. LIPS FREEDOM – Was not disgraced in the Group I German Derby and on his best form could
get into the picture. Dark horse
9. PONTY – Non-Runner
10. KOVANOF – Last-start scorer who has been gaining momentum over recent weeks. Another
step forward required here
Summary : A competitive Listed race in which it is difficult to single out a clear first choice. All of
DEVIL IN THE SKY (3), BRAVAIS (1) and ALASHAR (2) have serious means and boast solid form
references so could fight for victory. PONTY (9) arrives in good order so cannot be discounted
either, while visitors MISTER MISTER (6) and LIPS FREEDOM (8) are also dangerous to dismiss.
Tricky!

R5 – PRIX DE LA BREVIERE – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. SEEDS OF CHANGE – Showed promise when fourth at this course over 1600m. Step up in
distance should suit and he is the one to beat
2. TRIOMPHE DE MAINE – Modest first two runs and was well beaten last time out. Needs
major improvement to win
3. SIR CHAPEAU – Fair debut when runner-up over 2400m on debut last month. This is tougher
but can contest the finish
4. MERCURIO – Improving and was runner-up at this course last time out. Fit and should like this
distance. Respect
5. ABACCO – He has not shown much in his two starts so far so he is probably best watched until
improvement is shown
6. ART MYTHIQUE – Well beaten over this course and distance on debut and did not do much
better in his second start. Can improve but others are preferred
7. NAIADE – Did not show much when tenth on debut last month. Capable of improvement nut
others are preferred
8. TILDA ROMANA – She was not disgraced when third on her debut. Drop in distance could suit
but this is likely to be a stronger race. Place chance
9. EUBOA – She did not show much on debut but made good progress in her second start and was
runner-up at this track over 1600m. Steps up in distance but is not out of it
10. CRACKLIN’ROSIE – Unreliable so far. She did not show much on debut or in her latest start
but did run well when runner-up in her penultimate start. Might place
11. KOZACHKA – She did not show much on her debut when tenth and only made slight
improvement when seventh at this course last time out. More needed to win
12. BUBBLE SIGN – Holding her form nicely so far. Third over this course and distance last time
out and should fight out the finish once again
13. LA JEANNE – A three-year-old filly by Brametot out of Baroness Zillione who is making her
debut. Watch the betting
Summary : SEEDS OF CHANGE (1) was not disgraced when fourth on debut at this course. The
step up to 2000m should suit him and he is the one to be with. BUBBLE SIGN (12) has been good
without winning so far and her day to win could be anytime soon. MERCURIO (4) is fit and knocking
hard at the door so would not be a surprise winner. EUBOA (9) showed improvement at this track
in her second start and is clearly not out of it.
SELECTIONS
SEEDS OF CHANGE (1) – BUBBLE SIGN (12) – MERCURIO (4) – EUBOA (9)
R6 – PRIX DE SAINT-JEAN-AUX-BOIS – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. CHICAGO – Only modest in his two starts so far. Drop in distance could suit but others are
preferred thsi time
2. FAMOSO – Consistent without winning so far and has built up a record of eight runner-up runs
in his lifetime. Might place
3. COGNAC – Showed promise in 2022 with some decent form without winning but he has lost his
way this year. Capable of winning if at his best
4. TERREDEGUERRE – Very consistent without winning so far. Drop in distance should suit her
and she should be right there at the finish yet again
5. ROAMING STAR – Consistent and was knocking hard for first win in Ireland. Runner-up in her
last two starts and could go one better on French debut
6. TAMARINDE – A bit disappointing in her last two starts in Germany. Drops in class and deserves
some respect in this line-up
7. NATCHITOCHES – A three-year-old colt by Sioux Nation out of Amodio who is making his debut.
Others are preferred
8. SAIYLANA – A three-year-old filly by Invincible Spirit out Sayana who is making her debut. Her
mother was good and she could be ready to win on debut
Summary : ROAMING STAR (5) is threatening to win a race and could do it on local debut. Stable
companion SAIYLANA (8) makes her debut but her mother was good and she may well be good
enough to win first time out. TERREDEGUERRE (4) could be suited by the drop in distance and
can win at anytime. TAMARINDE (6) drops down to Maiden company and could shine in this race.

ROAMING STAR (5) – SAIYLANA (8) – TERREDEGUERRE (4) – TAMARINDE (6)
