Mogo to weave Magic
Talented three-year-old MOGO MAGIC can score a fifth straight win this Saturday when he lines up in the $150,000 BM72 race over 1100m at Randwick racecourse, Australia.
MOGO MAGIC is unbeaten from four starts to date, scoring by a combined margin of 13.5 lengths. On each occasion, the Duporth gelding displayed tactical speed and won with plenty in hand while leaving the impression that only the sky is the limit for the Scott Collings-trained gelding.
Despite starting to compete in quality races at metro tracks two starts ago, MOGO MAGIC has still kept his perfect record intact, and with more upside to come, there is no reason why he cannot continue his winning ways this weekend.
Freedom Rally going stronger
Promising three-year-old gelding FREEDOM RALLY looks on track to score four wins in a row in the $85,000 Three-Year-Old Handicap over 1400m at Eagle Farm racecourse this Saturday.
A three-time winner from four starts, FREEDOM RALLY had been spelled for seven months since breaking his maiden at Gold Coast three starts ago in November last year. The son of Rubick resumed with a cross-seasonal double at this track in late June before completing a hat-trick of wins last time out.
FREEDOM RALLY has won his last two starts by clear margins and based on pedigree, the extra distance should suit him even better this week, so a fourth straight win looks well within his reach.
Poy More than Likely to score
Jockey Michael Poy will be confident that three-year-old gelding MORE LIKELY can go two places better this Sunday, when he lines up in the $18,500 Maiden race over 1600m at Kalgoorlie racecourse, Australia.
Following an unplaced effort on debut in early June, MORE LIKELY has shown improvement recently, finishing in the money at his last two starts. At his latest outing, the Pierro gelding finished a slashing third over 1400m at this track while the form of that race has since been franked with the second-place getter I AM KING scoring a subsequent win.
MORE LIKELY is well placed in a moderate field and drawing pole position can be a vital factor for him to secure his first career win this week.
Huxtable keen on Apophis
Handy sprinter APOPHIS can go back-to-back in the $28,000 Class 2 race over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast racecourse this Sunday.
APOPHIS is already a two-time winner from only three starts and he resumed with an impressive first-up win over this track and distance three weeks ago. Making light work of his rivals that day, the Super One gelding stalked the speed and sprinted well from the 300m, drawing away to score by 2.3 lengths.
This week, APOPHIS will strip even fitter second-up, and from an ideal draw, he should endure a conducive run and can prove hard to run down for jockey Justin Huxtable despite the rise in class.
