4. LEEROY GOLD – Has dropped to a decent rating since winning at Strasbourg last November
over 1400m. Can be competitive
5. DAYYAN – 5th on the last run over 1600m at this venue on July 11th. Others look better
equipped
6. KANDERAS – 5th last time over 1600m at Compiegne on July 13th. Can not be ruled out of
making the top three
7. HAPPY DREAM – 4th at Wissembourg over 1350m in late May two runs back. More needed
although he has won over track and trip before
8. HUR CAT – Out of the frame on the last two runs, and won before that over 1350m in late May.

9. AVRILOMANOIR – Won over 1400m at Saint-Cloud on the last outing in late June. Ought to
make presence felt
10. MAGIC SWORD – Decent 2nd last time over 1100m at Chateaubriant on July 17th. Merits
consideration
11. JASMINA – Has been running consistently of late without a win, her last run was over 1200m
22 days ago when 6th. In the mix
12. JOYEUSE DE ROMAY – 4th at this track last time over 1600m in early July. Has work to do
on a drop back in trip
13. WARRIOR – Fair 2nd last time over 1600m at this track on July 11th. Capable of making an
impact
14. BILBAO – Ran 5th last time over 1700m on July 9th. Has yet to win and is of limited ability so
best watched
Summary : ZANTARIO (2) has been running well recently and knows how to win in this type of
race. He was not beaten far when sixth last time at Vichy just under a fortnight ago and won over
1350m before that in late June. He gets the vote ahead of LEEROY GOLD (4) who has dropped
to only 1kg above his last winning rating and can get back to some sort of form here and play a
lead role. JASMINA (11) has been running consistently of late without winning and can play a
prominent role again. KANDERAS (6) warrants respect and looks one for the place bets.

ago. Others rate higher
8. SCORPIO – 3rd at Vichy last time over 2000m on July 20th. Among the top chances
9. DUFOUR – Decent 4th last time over 1800m two weeks ago and a nice 2nd over 1900m at
Cluny in June. Live chance
Summary : DUFOUR (9) has had two recent runs in Germany, the fourth on his last outing was a
decent effort a couple of weeks ago, and a good second at Cluny three runs ago over 1900m
makes him the selection. He has the most to fear from EVERSTORM (4) who was second last
time over 1400m at Nancy in April. He has had a nice break and will be fresh for this assignment
on step up in trip. IL VINCITORE (1) won two starts ago over 2100m in late June and is capable
of having a say in proceedings. SCORPIO (8) can fare best of the remainder.

she should relish

7. CELERES – 4th on debut two runs ago at Saint-Cloud in May. Can be expected to give a bold

Merits consideration
9. GIRASOLE – 3rd on the last run over 2400m at Wissembourg in late June. Should be involved
at nice odds
10. PATE MOLLEE – Out of the frame on both runs so far, the latter over 2500m earlier this
month. Looks vulnerable
11. BELLE FAUSTINE – Has shown very little in six unplaced runs over various trips. Best to look
elsewhere
12. SOIZIYA – Unplaced in four runs so far, the latest over 2000m at Vichy in July. More needed
to figure
13. STEALTHY STRIDE – Four unplaced runs so far, the latter over 1800m on July 4th. Hard to
fancy
14. KOURAL – 6th last time over 1700m in April in a Class 3 race. Looks of limited ability and can
be overlooked
Summary : After two good runs over 2400m, the latest a solid fourth at Vichy, ATTITUDE (2) can
get her first win. She looks like a promising filly. CELERES (7) can be a live threat even though
she was a bit below par when last seen, she should like this trip and was a good fourth on debut
at Saint-Cloud in May. GIRASOLE (9) is one to include in place bet permutations after a better
effort last time when third in late June at Wissembourg over 2400m. GRACEHILL (3) makes up
the shortlist.

11. BOTTECI – Ran 3rd two runs ago over 2000m at Vitteaux on July 2nd. Others look a better
option
12. HORSE BOREAL – Has several unplaced runs of late, the latest over 2500m in April. Looks
out of sorts
13. ARVINNI – Has four unplaced runs of late, the latter over 2500m in mid-July. Others preferred
14. MARY WHITE – Has shown very little form of late over different distances. Can be overlooked
Summary : Although yet to win MARGUNS (10) could finally get her first success in an open
race. She could be challenged strongly by AZAZEL (5) who is also looking for that first win. An
excellent second 22 days ago over 2300m was her best effort in a while and she can play a lead
role. BALADOR (1) has had a break after a number of unplaced efforts. He should make the
frame off-top weight. ARAMIS D’AZUR (4) has dropped 11kg in the ratings and ran a better race
last time when second at Aix-Les-Bains over 2000m at the start of this month. He can be
involved.

avoided

13. RIVER LILLY – Won on the last run over 2100m at this track on July 11th. Ought to play a
lead role
14. FEDE GALIZIA – 3rd last time over 2500m at Aix-Les-Bains on July 14th. Ought to be in the
shake-up
Summary : Although not winning last time HE’S A ROCK STAR (1) had won his two races before
that run and is the tentative choice off top-weight. RIVER LILLY (13) is a live contender. She won
her latest outing over 2100m at this track and will be brimming with confidence. FILZMOOSERIN
(12) is one to include in the each-way bets as she has placed form at this track and can be once
again on the scene. FEDE GALIZIA (14) shaped well when third last time and looks best of the
rest.

limited ability
9. SUNY YINA – Has three unplaced runs so far, the latter over 1350m in June. Has to improve
plenty to feature
10. OCTOBER CHOPE – Unplaced on the last four runs, won before that over 1600m in early
May. Others rate higher
11. VENTO D’ESTATE – Has several unplaced efforts of late. Seems out of form and is best
watched
Summary : KOBRA PEPPER (3) has a good chance to get his first success after a couple of
pleasing efforts. He was just over 1L off the winner when fifth last time out over 1400m in late
May. KING’S CROWN (2) can play a prominent role after a confidence-boosting success last time
at this track 15 days ago. FLORIDA SPRING (1) can not be discounted and is one to include in
all of the place bets after a couple of credible fourth-placed runs of late. NEW LIGHT (5) was
second behind KING’S CROWN (2) when they met 15 days ago and has a length to find on that
rival and is better off at the weights by 1kg.

R7 – PRIX DU CLOS NORMAND – 1100m (a5 1/2f) – TURF – Handicap – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 18.000
1. NAUGHTY ANA – Well beaten in latest start in handicap. Was in good form before that so it
may be worth ignoring the run. Capable of an upset on best form
2. LORD MONCHABLON – Won a handicap on the PSF in his first start of the year but has
struggled since. Drops in distance and could be the surprise package of the race
3. PRIMO VIOLINO – Only win to date was on the PSF over 1300m. Disappointing on the turf this
year and needs to find a few lengths to win this race
4. INVIOLABLE SPIRIT – Well tried this year without winning to his win tally. In good form with
some solid runs at this course in handicaps and has a winning chance
5. FAVARITX – Unreliable and he is on a long losing streak since only but is versatile distancewise
and ran well when runner-up over this course and distance in his penultimate start. Respect
6. SPACE QUAKE – Unreliable and only win was on the PSF over 1400m. Has also run well on
the turf so is capable of earning some money
7. BARBUDA – Has yet to win after 15 starts but did show improvement when third last time out
on the PSF. Probably prefers that surface but might place
8. LE CHAT BOTTE – On a very long losing streak since only win but showed good improvement
when third last time out and is dangerous off this mark. Can upset
9. TENORIO – Unreliable but did pick up win in a handicap last time out. Carries a 2kg penalty for
that win but is capable of following up in this line-up
10. ASTURIAS ROAD – On a long losing streak and fluffed his lines over 1600m last time out.
Better this distance and can bounce back to score
11. QUEEN OF THE NIGHT – On a very long losing streak since only win but has been runner-up
twice off this mark this year and could be the surprise package of the race
12. FEE HISTORIQUE – 53 starts without winning and has been well tried this year and poor in
every one of them. She is unlikely to win this race
13. COCO LIGHT – Showed improvement when sixth last time out but that was his best run for
some time and needs to do more to win this race
Summary : INVIOLABLE SPIRIT (4) is in good form and looks like he can pop a handicap any
day now. FAVARITX (5) is versatile distance-wise and ran well over this course and distance. He
could break a long losing streak. NAUGHTY ANA (1) was a disappointment last time out but does
seem better than that run and can bounce back to score. ASTURIAS ROAD (10) is better this
distance and should fight out the finish.

1. MR DREAMER – Fit and has been in good form in claimers of late including a win over this
course and distance. First time in a handicap but looks to be on a fair mark. Respect
2. INKIOSTRO – Has yet to win a race but has been runner-up in both handicaps and should
make a bold bid
3. RIDIPINTURA – Not disgraced when third in his second handicap race. Has to be given
respect for that run and is not out of it
4. NIKOLAJ – Not disgraced in penultimate start when third in his first handicap. Did not repeat it
when eight last time out. Place chance on penultimate start
5. ISOLA DI CAPRI – Won on debut last year but has been disappointing and unreliable since.
Well beaten in her first handicap and is probably best watched for now
6. DANSEUSE CELEBRE – Disappointing in two starts since a win over this course and distance.
Probably found that distance too far and can bounce back to score
7. DAZZLE AT DAWN – Disappointing when seventh under a penalty last time out. In good form
before that and is clearly not out of it
8. VENES – A bit of a disappointment when sixth in a handicap under a penalty last time out.
Capable of better and could finish in the money
9. MORHIB – Unreliable and has won twice this year. Good third last time out and is not out of in
this line-up
10. PORTRERO – His only win so far was in a claimer. Disappointing last three starts in
handicaps and others are preferred this time
11. SOUL OF THE NATION – On a long losing streak since only win. Has run some fair races off
this mark and could earn some money
12. WINELATO LAUJAC – Has yet to win a race and is clearly unreliable but did run third in only
handicap start and has a winning chance
13. MALLORCA SUN – He has yet to win a race and has been moderate of late. Needs to find a
few lengths to win this race
Summary : RIDIPINTURA (3) looked a much-improved sort when third in a handicap last time
out and can do even better this time. INKIOSTRO (2) has yet to win but could be a danger in this
line-up. MORHIB (9) has won twice this year and ran well when third last time out and has a
winning chance. MR DREAMER (1) has a course and distance win in the bank and could be
ready for his handicap debut.
