The Mareeba Mango is chasing a hat-trick of wins on Sunday.

Promising galloper THE MAREEBA MANGO can rebound from his first-up defeat when he steps out in the 1200m Class 3 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

THE MAREEBA MANGO resumed from a seven-month break and received heavy market support when finishing runner-up to the in-form Proof Perfect over 1075m here on June 18. The seven-year-old received every chance after leading but should derive plenty of benefit from that performance.

THE MAREEBA MANGO, with a record of two wins from three starts when produced second-up from a spell, will be freshened but is holding good form following his second place to the highly rated Awesome Storm in a trial here Tuesday week ago.

Leck searching for another Payout

Trainer Charles Leck, coming off a lucrative Sprint Trophy meeting in Penang last Sunday with a treble, will be saddling progressive performer WANTED PAYOUT who is on target for a return victory in the 1100 Class 4 contest.

Wanted Payout should be much fitter second-up this weekend.

WANTED PAYOUT displayed his true potential recording a winning hat-trick towards the end of last season, starting favourite on each occasion. The five-year-old resumed from a seven-month spell and wasn’t disgraced when finishing third after a moderate beginning over 1275m on the inner track a fortnight ago.

WANTED PAYOUT is lightly-raced with only eight starts to its credit and appears well placed for a stable which is in good form at the moment.

Supernatural can break the duck

New Zealand-bred SUPERNATURAL has a chance to breakthrough in the 1500m Open Maiden at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Following three unplaced efforts in Singapore, SUPERNATURAL has shown vast improvement since joining the Selangor stables Of Siva Subramaniam earlier this year. The six-year-old performed well against Class 4 opposition at his first two local starts which including a third placing over 1400m.

SUPERNATURAL started odds-on when beaten a neck over 1250m in a maiden three weeks ago, but appears well placed to atone for that recent defeat as he strikes a winnable contest this weekend.
