Vulcan to strike in Kuala Lumpur

Vulcan was an eye-catcher last start when first-up off a two-month break.
Charles Leck-trained VULCAN will strip fitter from his first-up performance as he seeks a return to winning form in the 1200m Class 3 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
VULCAN resumed from a two-month break and caught the eye with a fast-finishing second-place finish in a Metro A race here three weeks ago.
The eight-year-old actually finished ahead of his promising stable mate Gamestonks, who came out and won a Listed race in Penang last Sunday.
That should prove to be a reliable form-line for VULCAN, who has won twice when produced second-up previously, and appears suited dropping back to Class 3 company this weekend.

According to some owners in the local industry, a name change can work wonders and change fortunes for their horses, and connections of PACIFIC EMPIRE will be hoping that theory comes to fruition in the 1100m Class 4 race this Sunday.

The horse formerly known as Alpha Warrior has displayed good form since winning at his Malaysian debut on May 28. The five-year-old led and was pressured from the outset when finishing fifth over 1200m last start.
PACIFIC EMPIRE has won twice in his thirteen-start career, with both victories over Sunday’s journey, and he should once again utilize his early pace in his quest for a return visit to the winners enclosure.
