Last-start winner FIRE AWAY returns to home territory and is on target for successive victories in the 1200m Double Seventh Festival Handicap at Ipoh this Sunday.
FIRE AWAY attracted no betting support when causing an upset in Kuala Lumpur on July 16. The eight-year-old displayed a sharp burst of acceleration when closing off from a rearward position over the 1200m trip, chalking up his third win since joining the Kevin Coetzee stable in November last year.
FIRE AWAY has improved rapidly this season posting three wins for the year, including successive Class 5 victories back in April. The Australian-bred grey does possess a quick turn of speed and has the capacity of going back to back this weekend.
