Race Preview
R1 – PRIX D’AVRANCHES – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 28.000
1. DARIYM – Has won two of his last three outings and is in fine form heading into this contest. One
to beat
2. FRENCH DEFENSE – Ran 2nd in his penultimate start behind the favorite and if reproducing
that run here then would be a huge runner. One for the shortlist
3. BODYMAN – Won on debut but hasn’t shown anything since to suggest that he could be able to
recapture that form. More needed
4. UP TO THE MOON – Remains a maiden from nine outings and it will be a huge shock if that
were to change here. Others preferred
5. I AM INCREDIBLE – Finished 2nd last time out and is capable of winning a race of this calibre.
Upset type
6. WRONG COLOUR – Not in the greatest shape of late and will battle to challenge in this field.
Hard to recommend
7. DJENNE – Heads into this race looking to notch up four wins in a row but won’t find life too easy
with a few in form rivals. Include
Summary : DARIYM (1) is in very good form and sets the standard on what he has produced to
date. He rates as the one to beat. FRENCH DEFENSE (2) is yet to taste success from seven starts
but could pose a huge threat to the favorite based on how close he got two runs back. I AM
INCREDIBLE (5) shouldn’t be discounted on her recent form and rates a serious chance. DJENNE
(7) arrives here in the form of his life and is one that won’t find things too easy but could certainly
get involved.
SELECTIONS
DARIYM (1) – FRENCH DEFENSE (2) – I AM INCREDIBLE (5) – DJENNE (7)
R2 – PRIX DE LA REBOURSIERE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 30.000
1. LETSROLL – First timer from a top yard and could be something decent in the making. Follow
the market
2. ALAKAI – Daughter of Sea The Stars that hails from a yard that is more than capable of getting
them ready at the first attempt. Market is our best guide
3. ROCKET RISE – Dam was unraced so our best guide could be the betting market. Follow
carefully
4. FAKARAVA – Dam was a three time winner ranging from 1600m – 2500m which could indicate
the further the better for this individual. Makes appeal on paper
5. HAVRIANKA – Newcomer that could do with a few runs before showing what she is capable of
producing. Others preferred
6. ASTURIAS – Nicely bred daughter of Siyouni that could just do with the experience before putting
her best foot forward. Others preferred
7. ORLHENA – Dam was a maiden from nine outings and it’s hard to assess how this individual
could shape up on debut. Others preferred
8. DARE TO DREAM – Dam won once over 2400m and being a daughter of Camelot she could
enjoy even further. One for the shortlist
Summary : Very tricky contest consisting of first timers. LETSROLL (1) is from a good yard and
could well know about the job at hand on debut. ALAKAI (2) represents a top stable and isn’t one
to take lightly on debut as she could be useful. FAKARAVA (4) is a runner that could certainly
attract some support in the market just judged on her pedigree. Rocket Rise (3) could be absolutely
anything on debut and it would be best to keep a close eye on the market.
SELECTIONS
LETSROLL (1) – ALAKAI (2) – FAKARAVA (4) – ROCKET RISE (3)
R3 – PRIX DES GRENIERS A SEL – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 53.000
1. NEPALAIS – Very consistent performer that remains in good shape despite a poor last effort.
Should run well
2. LAOS – Has been tried over a few different distances of late and his best run did come two starts
back over 2400m. Can get involved
3. TRUE TEDESCO – Poor efforts in his last two runs and it is hard to see this individual running
well here. Would be a shock winner
4. BEMER – Seemed to enjoy racing fresh last time out when finishing 2nd and if confirming that
form here then he’d be a player. Include in all bets
5. SHANNKIYR – Hasn’t been beaten too far of late and is capable of bouncing back to his previous
form. Each way claims
6. LOKMAN – In very good form this year notching up two wins and looks set to run a big race now
stepping back up to 2000m. Each way chance
7. DANTES – Bounced back to form with a cracking 2nd last time out and is capable of winning this
contest. Leading claims
8. BAZOQUES – Last three runs haven’t seen this horse put her best foot forward and would need
to improve. Hard to recommend
9. LIKE MAGIC – Not the most encouraging runs in France and will need to show more in order to
gain followers. Hard to fancy
10. PANJAMAN – Hasn’t been in the best form of late and would need to make improvement to get
involved here. Others preferred
11. THE LAUREATE – Winner at his last start when upped in trip to 2000m but was a surprise
winner given his prior form. Needs to confirm latest
12. GRAND BALCON – Not too far off the action in recent outings but will need to step up to
challenge. Others inspire more confidence
13. VA S’Y MIX – Recent performances aren’t anything to write home about but could challenge for
a minor position here. Place chance
14. BEVAN – Won over 1850m three runs back and is the type that could easily get involved here
on that form. Should make his presence felt
15. SWISS BANK – Well seasoned campaigner that has put in two useful runs of late and based
on his last start is a contender. Don’t ignore
16. NORTH HUNTER – In consistent winning form at present and despite this being a tricky task,
he is capable. Include
Summary : SHANNKIYR (5) could be a runner to keep an eye on here as he hasn’t been disgraced
off late and could mount a serious challenge. DANTES (7) produced a positive performance last
time out and looks set to go well here. BEVAN (14) should be able to put his last run behind him
and run a forward race over this trip. NEPALAIS (1) is an honest sort that is possibly the most
reliable runner in this field despite an underwhelming effort at his last start. Many more have claims.
SELECTIONS
SHANNKIYR (5) – DANTES (7) – BEVAN (14) – NEPALAIS (1)
R4 – PRIX DE MONTAIGU – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 30.000
1. LOVERS DAY – Dam won twice from 2400m – 2500m but wasn’t anything special. Should need
the run
2. CALANDAGAN – Dam won twice and was second in a Group 3 contest. He could be very
precocious. One for the shortlist
3. SAFWAN – Dam won once over 2000m from her two career outings. Could be one to follow over
further. The market is our best guide
4. SACHA SUNRISE – Dam won once over 1000m. Newcomer that is easy to look pass on debut
given his pedigree. Others preferred
5. PRINCE OF CLOUDS – Newcomer that could be worth watching on debut as he could shape up
with a bit of promise. Follow going forward
6. OURO PRETO – Quite a nicely bred colt that could be better for the run and need even further.
Watch the market
7. METROPOLITAN – Newcomer that could need a couple of runs before putting his best foot
forward. Others inspire more confidence on the day
8. SITOI – Dam won twice at Listed level and this individual could be quite a useful sort. Watch the
market
9. RETOUCH – Hails from a top yard that can ready them first time out and he must be respected.
One for the shortlist
Summary : This could potentially be a hot maiden in the making with CALANDAGAN (1) taken to
go well on debut given his connections and any market support would speak volume. SITOI (8) is
a newcomer that gets the services of Maxime Guyon on debut and that alone is noteworthy along
with her dam who was quite decent. RETOUCH (9) is from a good yard and deserves a market
check. PRINCE OF CLOUDS (5) is an individual that could be of some interest going forward.
SELECTIONS
CALANDAGAN (2) – SITOI (8) – RETOUCH (9) – PRINCE OF CLOUDS (5)
R5 – PRIX D’ARROMANCHES – 1900m (a1 3/16m) – ALL WEATHER – Claiming Handicap – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 16.000
1. INATTENDU – Nine time winner that is still running well and threatening to add another win to
his tally. Can’t be discounted
2. SELKET – Not the most consistent but has won twice from his last four starts and is capable of
challenging. Each way claims
3. MUELHEIMER PERLE – Brings excellent form into this race and is bidding for a hat-trick now
upped in trip. Big runner
4. VESINABA – His form seems to be all over the place and is finding it hard to put in consistent
performances. Hard to recommend
5. LUNATICOS – Struggling to find his feet at present and isn’t one to get to excited about here.
Would be a surprise winner
6. NIGHTS ON BROADWAY – Last tasted success back in 2021 so would be low on confidence
which could be affecting him from being consistent. Others preferred
7. ONARIA – Has won twice this year over 1800m and with a top jockey aboard, he can easily
bounce back. Winning chance
8. UGOTTHELOOK – Well beaten in his most recent outing and he would need to show more to
run well here. Others preferred
9. ROYAL MONARCH – Has dropped a few points in the ratings and could start showing more of
his earlier form. Include
10. GOLFING STAR – Got his maiden victory out the way this year but has produced very little
since. Hard to fancy
Summary : ONARIA (7) has the form to win a contest of this nature and with a leading jockey
aboard, he is expected to go very close. ROYAL MONARCH (9) may need to drop a couple more
points but should be able to put his best foot forward on this mark especially in this race.
INATTENDU (1) is in good form even though he throws in a poor run every now and then.
MUELHEIMER PERLE (3) comes into this contest with the best form and should run a huge race.
