1. NARKEZ – Well-related Siyouni colt out whose dam has already produced a Group
winner/performer. Makes obvious appeal
2. CHIRICCO – Clément Lecoeuvre rides this Caravaggio newcomer on debut for trainer Mathieu
Brasme. For another day
3. LORD SINCLAIR – Almanzor colt out of a mare who won a Listed race as a three-year-old.
Yard of Carlos & Yann Lerner known for doing well with their young horses
4. RIDE THE SKIES – Elias Mikhalides-trained City Light colt to be ridden on debut by Antonio
Orani. Could get into the picture
5. CITYBOL FAL – Tony Piccone has been engaged to ride this Gavin Hernon-trained City Of
Canton newcomer. Watch for now
6. MOTADARREK – Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Night Of Thunder colt whose dam placed at
Listed level. Not one to take lightly
7. CABERNET FRANC – Zarak colt trained by Tim Donworth who has engaged Guillaume Trolley
de Prevaux to ride. One to note
8. KAHOOT – This Lope De Vega colt is the full brother to smart Kelina, winner of this year’s
Group II Prix de Sandringham. Keep safe

Summary : Well-bred NARKEZ (1) is of particular interest given his attractive pedigree and this
Andre Fabre-trained Siyouni colt is likely to go well on debut. Well-related KAHOOT (8) also
makes plenty of appeal on paper so must be kept safe. Jean-Claude Rouget runs Night Of
Thunder colt MOTADARREK (6) who, as a son of a Listed-placed mare, is not taken lightly either.
LORD SINCLAIR (3), whose dam won a Listed race as a three-year-old, warrants respect too.

SELECTIONS
NARKEZ (1) – KAHOOT (8) – MOTADARREK (6) – LORD SINCLAIR (3)

R2 – PRIX DE LA CASCADE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 50.000

1. CANDALA – Bred in the purple, being the product of Frankel and multiple Group winner
Candarliya. Likely to go well on debut
2. SILHAM – Well-related Wootton Bassett debutante out a Group I winner in the USA. Warrants
the utmost respect on pedigree alone
3. ANGEL IN THE SKY – Mekhtaal debutante Clément Lecoeuvre has been engaged to ride for
owner and trainer Gaël Barbedette. One to note
4. LADY INVINCIBLE – Fetched €300,000 as a yearling and holds an entry in the Group I Prix
Marcel Boussac. Must be taken seriously
5. MISS SORELLINA – Dream Ahead debutante trained by Mathieu Brasme with Augustin
Madamet to ride. Best just to watch for now
6. BAUHINIA – Andre Fabre-trained Too Darn Hot filly out of a Group-placed mare who has
already produced smart Listed winner Duneflower. Keep safe
7. A L’HEURE – Tim Donworth-trained Time Test newcomer to be ridden by Guillaume Trolley de
Prevaux. For another day
8. WAY TO MARBELLA – Acclamation debutante trained by Markus Münch. No rider engaged at
the time of writing but is the likely outsider of the field
9. CETERA – Maxime Guyon rides this Wertheimer filly, who is a daughter of Nathaniel, for trainer
Carlos Laffon-Parias. Beware

Summary : Being the daughter of Frankel and multiple Group winner Candarliya, regally bred
CANDALA (1) is of particular interest here and is bred to go well on debut. Given their pedigrees,
both Godolphin’s well-related BAUHINIA (6) and SILHAM (2), whose dam was a Group I winner,
are also likely to run forward races. LADY INVINCIBLE (4) was a €300,000 purchase as a
yearling and is another to keep an eye on.

SELECTIONS
CANDALA (1) – BAUHINIA (6) – SILHAM (2) – LADY INVINCIBLE (4)

R3 – PRIX D’ARENBERG – 1000m (a5f) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. ZORKEN – Smart colt with solid/consistent form references. Unlikely to be inconvenienced
cutting back in distance to 1000m. Hard to oppose
2. GRACEFUL THUNDER – Won a Listed race in her first start on French soil, beating GAENERI
(5). Will make her presence felt
3. RARE JEWEL – Improved markedly from her debut (7th) to win with flying colors in her
next/latest start. Will have more to offer
4. GRADE MAKER – Could only finish 5th of nine runners in a claiming race last time, so has
plenty to find in this grade/company on that form
5. GAENARI – Caught the eye by running on well to finish 2nd in a Listed race at Deauville
behind GRACEFUL THUNDER (2). Has obvious claims
6. DAIQUIBERRY – Has won twice from seven starts but has finished unplaced in each of her
three starts at Listed level. Held on recent form
7. DAWN CHARGER – Was not disgraced in the Group III Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot,
finishing in midfield and not beaten far. Dark horse
8. TIGER BELLE – Consistent last-start winner. Will need to raise her game to be competitive
here but does have scope to improve

Summary : ZORKEN (1), the only male representative in the race, has performed consistently at
a high level and has looked more than capable of giving weight and a beating to his female rivals
here. GRACEFUL THUNDER (2), who won a Listed race at Deauville last time beating GAENARI
(5), is likely to pose a threat if building on that momentum. RARE JEWEL (3) improved to win her
second start and should have more more to offer, so could also have a say in the finish.

SELECTIONS
ZORKEN (1) – GRACEFUL THUNDER (2) – GAENARI (5) – RARE JEWEL (3)

R4 – PRIX GERALD DE GEOFFRE (PRIX DE LUTECE) – 3000m (a1 7/8m) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. KAHRAMAN – Confirmed the improvement of his previous outing by winning last time in firsttime blinkers (retained here). Place chance
2. BACK TO BLACK – Consistent performer with solid references but is well held on recent form
by both SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (5) and DOUBLE MAJOR (6)
3. GALLERIST – Progressive sort who has improved to win his last four starts and seems ready
for this step up in class. Ought to remain competitive
4. WINTER PUDDING – Did not go unnoticed when finishing a commendable 5th in the Group I
Grand Prix de Paris, so warrants respect here. Keep safe
5. SEVENNA’S KNIGHT – Has taken his game/form to another level over 2800m recently,
winning consecutive outings over that distance. Winning chance
6. DOUBLE MAJOR – Has maintained a good level of form and consistency to this point but was
well-beaten when 2nd behind SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (5) at Deauville. Should have a role to play
nonetheless

Summary : SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (5) has improved given a sterner test of stamina to win backto-back outings over 2800m, so it could pay to follow his progress over the extra 200m.
GALLERIST (3), however, has racked up four consecutive victories and in current shape is likely
to fight for victory. Consistent DOUBLE MAJOR (6) has both the form and experience to stake a
claim in the finish, while WINTER PUDDING (4) is another capable of having a say.

SELECTIONS
SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (5) – GALLERIST (3) – DOUBLE MAJOR (6) – WINTER PUDDING (4)

R5 – PRIX DE LA COCHERE – FONDS EUROPEEN DE L’ELEVAGE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 52.000

1. LOLIWOOD – Experienced filly with solid form references, including a creditable 6th in a
Quinte+ last time. Favourably treated by the conditions and is likely to fight for victory if the
ground isnt too soft
2. PERLE ROUGE – Beat a good field when winning a La Teste last time and, on that evidence,
will play a leading role here with a repeat of that performance
3. TWILIGHT – Lightly raced four-year-old filly who showed potential as a two-year-old but has
failed to fulfill that promise. Place chance at best
4. BELIEVEINMIRACLES – Was not disgraced (5th) in her first start on French soil having joined
Philippe Sogorb’s stable from Willie McCreery. Could improve but is best watched for now
5. SWEETHEART – Capable but inconsistent performer who has seen her value reduced after
finishing 7th in consecutive outings. Best watched for now
6. TAIRANN – Finished a well-beaten 9th of nine at Group I level last time and, although likely to
fare better eased in grade, will need to recapture her early form/promise to make her presence
felt here
7. QUICK CHANGE – Was not beaten a long way in a Listed race at Haydock last time (8th) but
remains capable of better. Finished 3rd at Deauville prior to that and has leading claims here on
that form
8. CALISTOGA – Found wanting at Group II level last time but did win a Listed race prior to that.
Remains more than capable of redeeming herself back in this grade
9. ASHIYA – Won on her reappearance and acquitted herself creditably, despite finishing 6th, last
time in a Listed race. Open to improvement with headgear now fitted
10. CELL SA BEELA – If her last performances are not the most flattering, the skill of her trainer
encourages her to be retained. For a surprise.
11. ROYAL CHARTER – Runner-up in a handicap on her reappearance at Haydock before
winning at Newmarket last time. Will have more to offer
12. THIOSSANE – Won on debut last year and has maintained a fair level of form/consistency in
4 subsequent outings, including both starts this term. Could have more to offer in her third run
back

Summary : A strong case can be made for several runners in this open race but it could pay to
side with LOLIWOOD (1) who, given her form and consistency in open company, ought to fare
better against only her own sex here. Last-start winner PERLE ROUGE (2) accounted for a good
field at La Teste and should play a leading role here if repeating that performance. QUICK
CHANGE (7) finished 3rd in a similar race at Deauville two starts ago and is likely to be
competitive if reproducing that level of form. CALISTOGA (8), despite her failure at Chantilly last
time, is capable of having a say too.

SELECTIONS
LOLIWOOD (1) – PERLE ROUGE (2) – QUICK CHANGE (7) – CALISTOGA (8)

R6 – PRIX DE LIANCOURT – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55.000

1. AMNERIS – Maturing Dubawi filly rewarded for her consistency with a last-start success over
2400m. Will need to improve to be competitive here
2. HALEINE – Confirmed the promise of her debut win last year in two comeback outings this
term but was found wanting (11th of 12) at this level last time. Outsider
3. IZNIK – Consistent filly boasting solid form references, including a recent 2nd behind smart
Engaliwe. Will be a factor again
4. STARRY HEAVENS – Consistent Irish performer who could have more to offer equipped with
first-time headgear. Warrants respect
5. HASAPIKO – Raised her game again to win over 2000m in her first start at this track last time.
Ought to play a leading role even in this grade
6. SECRETIVE – Unbeaten in two starts on the PSF but finished a well-beaten 10th in a Listed
race last month, when switched to the turf for the first time. Others preferred
7. ADELIADE – Absent since finishing 6th of seven runners in a Listed race back in May. Will
need to improve to have a say on her reappearance
8. ECLAIREE – Debut winner on the PSF in January and has acquitted herself well, albeit without
success in two subsequent comeback outings. Has more to offer
9. THE LAST WALTZ – Finished a commendable 5th in a Listed race at Vichy last time and on
that form should make her presence felt here

Summary : Progressive last-start winner (at this track), HASAPIKO (5) offers more guarantees
than most so is given the nod ahead of consistent IZNIK (3) and capable THE LAST WALTZ (9),
whose last outing was better than her finishing position (5th) suggests. Improving Irish raider
STARRY HEAVENS (4) won’t be making the trip to France without ambitions, so could also have
as ay here.

SELECTIONS
HASAPIKO (5) – IZNIK (3) – THE LAST WALTZ (9) – STARRY HEAVENS (4)
