1. MALINOVKA – Debut winner over 1400m at this course and is likely to have improved with the
benefit of that outing. Will have more to offer and shoudl fight out the finish
2. JULICA – Showed plenty of promise when making a winning debut over this course and distance.
She ought to have gained from that experience and she can double up
3. CALON LAN – The only unraced runner in the field, a Bruno de Montzey-trained Seabhac gelding
out of Patrona Cianato be ridden by Alejandro Gutiérrez Val
4. FRONDAISON – Confirmed the promise of her debut (4th) by improving to finish 2nd last time
out in a claimer. Could get into the money
5. GOFAS – Has the most experience of these runners but has not shown enough to play a leading
role here. Others are preferred
Summary : JULICA (2) revealed serious means when making a winning debut and is open to any
amount of improvement, so it could pay to follow her progress. Fellow first-start scorer MALINOVKA
(1) fits a similar profile and is the chief threat. Bruno de Montzey-trained newcomer CALON LAN
(3) is another to note, while stablemate FRONDAISON (4) has the form and experience to make
his presence felt too.
SELECTIONS
JULICA (2) – MALINOVKA (1) – CALON LAN (3) – FRONDAISON (4)
R2 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE POMPADOUR – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20.000
1. BO LYWOOD – Was a well-beaten 12th in a Quinte+ on PSF last time and ought to do better at
this level reverting to the turf
2. BASELITZ – Consistent performer boasting sound form references. Wasn’t disgraced (6th) in his
only outing in a handicap
3. EBAUCHE – Blotted his copybook in a Quinte+ last time but is a lot better than that effort
suggests and should pose more of a threat here
4. SALT FLAKE – Progressive last-start winner pitched into a handicap for the first time but is more
than capable of following up
5. LOVE TRUE – Won a similar race/handicap by a convincing margin last time and remains
competitive despite a 2,5kg penalty
6. EYGALIERES – Unreliable sort but seldom finishes far off the mark on a going day. Hard to trust
but is not easy to rule out
7. LUXU – Remains a maiden after 15 starts and her improved recent efforts were at a lower level.
Others are preferred
Summary : Progressive SALT FLAKE (4), having finished 2nd in consecutive prior outings, was
not winning out of turn last time and has looked capable of following up here on handicap debut.
DRAFT (3), unplaced in a Quinte+ event recently, is likely to fight for victory if bouncing back to his
earlier form. Both last-start winner LOVE TRUE (5) and top-weight BO LYWOOD (1) ought to make
their presence felt and should have a say in the finish.
SELECTIONS
SALT FLAKE (4) – EBAUCHE (3) – LOVE TRUE (5) – BO LYWOOD (1)
R3 – FRENCH ARABIAN BREEDERS’ CHALLENGE – POULAINS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – – Flat – EUR € 45.000
1. AFJAN EX MAHBOOP – Got the better of EXTRA TIME (7) in just his second start back in July
and is open to any amount of improvement. Keep safe
2. SHEMLWOL – Not disgraced in finishing 5th on debut and showed good improvement to win at
this course last time out. Can do even better
3. NO REPLY AL MAURY – Beaten as the favorite in a recent Group III but acquitted himself well
that day with a fast-finishing 3rd. Has a role to play
4. ALSHANFARA – Won a Group II in the early summer at Chantilly but was disappointing when
only 6th last time. Capable of better
5. NASSER AL SHAHANIA – Made an encouraging winning debut but failed to confirm that
promise by finishing well beaten last time. Needs to bounce back
6. SOLMAX – Finished a creditable 5th on debut and would have gained plenty from that
experience. Up in trip now and could have more to offer but this does look tougher
7. EXTRA TIME – Has confirmed the promise of his debut 2nd in convincing style, including a Group
I success at Deauville recently. One to beat
8. ANGUS – Made good improvement to finish 3rd at his second start. Will find this tougher though,
so others are preferred
Summary : EXTRA TIME (7) sets a good standard here after his Group I success at Deauville last
month. However, both NO REPLY AL MAURY (3) and AFJAN EX MAHBOOP (1) are likely to pose
a threat and capable of fighting for victory. Behind these three principal contenders, ALSHANFARA
(4) makes the most appeal as he remains capable of better than his last start may suggest.
SELECTIONS
EXTRA TIME (7) – NO REPLY AL MAURY (3) – AFJAN EX MAHBOOP (1) – ALSHANFARA
(4)
R4 – PRIX OCCITANIE – 1900m (a1 3/16m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55.000
1. KHAHIRA – Both wins were in 2022 but she has run well in better races than this and she is
clearly not out of it
2. SWIFTWAY – Not disgraced when runner-up last time out and has won twice in Spain but needs
to find a few lengths to win this race
3. CENTORINA – Always gives of her best and picked up a claimer win last time out. This is a
tougehr race and others are preferred
4. WILD PANSY – Not disgraced when fifth last time out. She has ability and shoudl fight out the
finish this course and distance
5. MISSVENICIA – Clearly needed her first run of the year when fourth and won well last time out.
Has more to offer and deserves the utmost respect
6. AKAGERA – Only modest since winning on debut. Seventh at Vichy and she is probably best
watched this time
7. VAUX LE VICOMTE – Has not done too much wrong so far with two wins in her three starts.
This is a tougher task but she can earn some money
8. ELZORA – Not disgraced when runner-up last time out at this course. More needed to win this
race but could earn soem money
9. UNE PERLE – Much improved of late and won a handicap last time out. Has more to offer but
this is a tougher ask. Might place
10. SUNBURST – Both wins were on the PSF and she won well last time out. Consistent on the
turf and has a winning chance
Summary : SUNBURST (10) has continued to impress and having, deservedly, reconnected with
success last time is more than capable of following up in this Listed event. WILD PANSY (4) and
MISSVENICIA (5), both of whom have serious means, appear the most likely dangers to the
selection and both should have a role to play in the finish. KHAHIRA (1), VAUX LE VICOMTE (7)
and ELZORA (8) are also competitive at this level so ought to make their presence felt.
SELECTIONS
SUNBURST (10) – WILD PANSY (4) – MISSVENICIA (5) – KHAHIRA (1)

over at this course last time out. Might play a minor role
2. AL AFREETAH – Has improved with each run since her debut in June and won at this course
last time out. Can contest the finish
3. AL BASRA – Did not show much on debut when seventh but did improve when third at this
course last time out. More needed to win this race
4. HEMIAN – Fair form so far but has yet to win a race and she is probably better over further.
Others are preferred
5. ALRASHA – A good debut winner over 1400m at this course. It is better than her recent attempt
in a Group I. Not out of it
6. AFRICA DE MONLAU – Runner-up on debut and won well second time out. Showed good
aptitude for the La Teste track and could be the one to be with
7. KAWAII D’VIALETTES – A good winner of her debut in July. A tougher ask this time over a bit
further but she deserves respect for that win
8. ASSLAN AL SHAHANIA – Undefeated in two outings, inclding at this course last time out. Looks
quite capable of completing the hat-trick
9. HALEEMA AL SHAHANIA – Pleasant winner on its debut but was well beaten at this course last
time out. Others are preferred
10. IVOIRE ET OR – Only fair in her three starts so far. This is a tronger race and she needs to find
a few lengths to win
Summary : AFRICA DE MONLAU (6) and ASSLAN AL SHAHANIA (8) are exciting prospects with
bright futures. They are standout picks in this event and likely to dominate the finish. Improving AL
AFREETAH (2) appeals most of the remainder and is capable of posing a threat to the principal
pair in this Group II contest. Despite their disappointing displays last time, both ALRASHA (5) and
HALEEMA AL SHAHANIA (9) have the means to get into the picture. TULAITILA (1) comes next.
SELECTIONS
AFRICA DE MONLAU (6) – ASSLAN AL SHAHANIA (8) – AL AFREETAH (2) – ALRASHA (5)
R6 – PRIX DE LA VILLE DE BIGANOS (PRIX DU LIVRE “LA COURSE PARFAITE”) – 1800m (a1 1/8m) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 17.000
1. SPANISH LIGHT – Showed some improvement when third ina claimer last time out. this is a
tougher race and others are preferred
2. AQUILON – Very consistent so far and may have just needed the run when third over this course
and distance last time out. Fitter and could be ready to win
3. STAR PLATINUM – Disappointing last run when eighth at this course. Did better before that and
should contest the finish once again
4. ODEMAR – Much improved last run when third. Likely to be fitter this time and he should be right
there at the finish
5. ILE SAINT LOUIS – Good finisher over 1,600 meters, she will appreciate the longer distance.
Clearly she is not out of it
6. SAHARA MIST – A fair debut when runner-up but did not repeat it in her second start. Returns
from a break and change of trainer. Can upset
7. SALON STARLET – Not disgraced when fourth on her debut earlier this month. Drops in distance
and this could be tougher. Place chance
8. PREMIERE D’ESTEJO – Disappointing form of late and was only ninth in a claimer last time out.
Needs major improvement to win this race
9. SIXTEEN TONS – Coming from Spain where she had shown fair form, this new resident of
Philippe Sogorb could improve on a recent sixth place finish. Might place
10. CASTANA – A three-year-old filly by Siyouni out of Acatama who is making her dbeut. watch
the betting
Summary : An open race in which AQUILON (2), after finishing 3rd in three consecutive outings,
ODEMAR (4), an encouraging 3rd on his reappearance, and STAR PLATINUM (3), given his good
record at this track, are the most likely winners. ILE SAINT LOUIS (5) possesses a smart turn of
foot so cannot be discounted, although both SIXTEEN TONS (9) and SALON STARLET (7) are
not devoid of ability either and will have their supporters.
SELECTIONS
AQUILON (2) – ODEMAR (4) – STAR PLATINUM (3) – ILE SAINT LOUIS (5)
R7 – PRIX MILLKOM – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55.000
1. KENDLY – Ignore his last run in Group company and will do a lot better in this Listed race. Should
be right there at the finish
2. BESHTANI – Improving and is coming off two good wins this distance. This is a tougher task but
could be suited by the course. Has a winning chance
3. GREY TORNADO – A bit of a disappointment when only fifth last time out but was in good form
before that and could play a minor role
4. DANCE AHEAD – Much improved recently, winning consecutive outings at his last two starts.
Faces a tougher task here, so can be ruled out
5. SOMMERSUN – Won five times in Spain in 2022. Not as good this year and this is a tougher
ask. Others are preferred
6. HALF HALF – Very versatile and he has just performed well in the Grand Handicap de Deauville.
Deserves respect for that runa nd is clearly not out of it
7. KOVROV – Fit and he remains in good form. Has only run over this distance and looks the right
one in this race
8. ROYAL SHAKE – Disappointing in his last two starts, finishing 7th on both occasions, and
probably most effective up to 1400m. Others are preferred
9. IZASTEP – Always gives of his best. Runner-up over this course and distance last time out .
Tougher task but could finish in the money
10. SHALROMY – Both wins from her have been on the PSF and she was disappointment when
only seventh last time out. Capable of better and could upset
Summary : On the form of his 4th in the Group III Prix Daphnis last time out, KOVROV (7) makes
the most appeal of the runners engaged in this Listed contest. Returning KENDLY (1), who got the
better of the selection in their clash at Toulouse, and HALF HALF (6), who finished an excellent
2nd in the Grand Handicap of Deauville against his elders, lead the list of potential dangers, that
also includes progressive hat-trick seeking BESHTANI (2).
SELECTIONS
KOVROV (7) – KENDLY (1) – HALF HALF (6) – BESHTANI (2)
