be overlooked and can have a say at the business end of the race. AMIATA (2) is a capable
performer and ran a nice second last time. She makes up the shortlist.

Summary : VERNIX (1) can get off the mark after some decent efforts in better races. She gets
the vote over PREWITT (3) who has also been shaping well in handicaps and can be competitive
in this. NATCHITOCHES (4) has solid claims of making the frame after a nice third-placed effort
over 1600m at Chantilly in mid-September when last racing. FERNANDO (2) was 5L back in fourth
in the race NATCHITOCHES (4) was third in at Chantilly and looks best of the remainder.

step forward from that run and score here
2. NEOWISE – Unplaced last time at Angers over 1600m in late September. Was placed last year
over 1400m when trained in Ireland. Consider
3. TERREDEGUERRE – 2nd last time over 1600m at Chantilly in early September when beaten
only 0.5L. Can make the top three
4. BLACK LULLABY – Nice 2nd at Angers in late September over 1600m when last racing. Can
once again have a say in proceedings
5. GRAND AMOUR – 7th of 9 on her only start to date at Le Mans in late April over 2300m. Has
had a nice break and should improve of that first effort
6. HORTENSIA BASC – 3rd last time at Chantilly in the same race that TERREDEGUERRE (3)
was 2nd in. Not taken lightly
7. BINT AL JNOB – 4th three runs back in a claiming race over 2000m in late June on the PSF.
Hard to fancy
8. MIURA – Two runs so far both unplaced the latter over 1400m in late September. Makes limited
appeal
9. BALLE PERDUE – Unplaced on only run to date over 1600m at Chantilly in September. Has
work to do
10. MANDRES – Newcomer by Le Havre, the dam won three times and was placed in Group races.
The betting market can guide
Summary : ROSE TOUCH (1) ran a race full of promise when finishing second on her latest outing
over 1400m in mid-August at Clairefontaine when beaten in a photo-finish. She can go one better
in this. BLACK LULLABY (4) also ran a good race last time when she finished second at Angers
over 1600 in late September. She looks as though she has a good bit more to come.
TERREDEGUERRE (3) can not be overlooked and HORTENSIA BASC (6) is also worth
consideration.

Summary : A competitive race for a lower-level event, with several of the runners having a realistic
chance of winning. SHAYAN (1) has been racing in Germany and won two runs ago over 1300m
at Magdeburg (DEU) over 1300m. He edges this from OPIANA (9) who has plenty of experience
and is sure to be on the premises. BOLSHKINOV (2) is the each-way option to focus on, after a
good second last time at Amiens in September. AKAGERA (3) makes up the shortlist.
