Smith is always of value

Trainer Gavin Smith continues to stream in the winners and there may be a few worth following on Friday at Fairview. It is back to the turf again and it is a difficult card with which bettors will need to contend.

Bella Attrice is speedy and seems to have settled better since blinkers have been applied. She could keep going this time and take out Race 1, a Work Riders Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1000m.

The Willow Magic filly was well beaten in her turf debut but has made good improvement since then and last time finished a three-length fourth over this course and distance.

That run was in a better field than this and she can get a well-deserved first win.

Idabelle was impressive on her local debut when winning on the Polytrack in July. Blinkers were applied that day and she quickened nicely and drew right away from her arrivals.

She was reported to have been coughing when unplaced in her next start over 1600m on the Polytrack again.

This time she returns to the turf in Race 6, a MR 66 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1400m. This change in distance will suit her and she is worth including in all permutations.

The now three-year-olds have mainly been a disappointment so far this season when taking on their older rivals but Vision Of Wonder could change all that and take out the last race, a MR 86 Handicap over 1000m.

The Visionaire gelding was not far behind the best of his generation last season and is a hard horse to run down. His best wins were over 1200m but this 1000m should not be a problem and he could provide another winner for jockey Muzi Yeni.
