As was the case at last Sunday’s meeting, Course C4 will be in operation again for the eleven race card commencing at 12.45pm.
The 2023 Mitavite Asia 25th Anniversary Cup over 1100m (Race 7) will highlight the program and features some of the country’s more progressive types on the way up through the grades. TITAN PEGASUS (3) is racing in career best form and appears on target for the winning hat trick with apprentice M Lukman to claim 3kg. The 6yo has won four from seven in the country, including three Class 3 wins this year, and will be hard to beat. THE MAREEBA MANGO (2) raced a fraction below his best form in a Metro A contest a month ago but was impressive prior to that when scoring by 3.75 lengths in Class 3. The 7yo has the ability to bounce back fourth up this campaign. KHAYYAM (5) caught the eye when resuming on August 6, finishing a close 2nd to TITAN PEGASUS (3) before quickly atoning with a dominant victory on the inner track here three weeks ago. The lightly raced 5yo drops in weight and has drawn well also. DABBLE (8) had to work hard from gate 9 to lead before weakening and finishing 8th behind TITAN PEGASUS (3) on September 16. The 5yo posted three wins from his prior four starts and should acquit himself well against this class of opposition.

SACRED TONIC (2) can break through after a string of minor placings in the 1100m Class 4 contest (Race 9). Runner up in his past four outings, the 9yo flew home behind the promising Golden Peak a fortnight ago and the drop back to the ‘B’ Division in this grade will enhance his chances. SUPER HERO (3) has been racing well without winning and is coming off a last start 5th in that same race won by Golden Peak. The slight drop in class should suit the 11yo as he aims for his second win for the season. ARIF (10) will be upgraded following a Class 5 win here on the inner track. A winner at this level previously, the 11yo is a fast and reliable beginner with 4kg less to carry. UNDER OATH (1) scored at this track and distance two runs back before failing at Ipoh on October 1. The 6yo should improve at its second start for the new stable.
