To bolster the youthful horse population and back Magic Millions, the Selangor Turf Club plans to offer a RM10,000 freight subsidy to Selangor-based owners and trainers for each purchase of two-year-olds at the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YO in Training Sale, slated for 24 October 2023.
The move comes after the Perak Turf Club, in partnership with Magic Millions Sales, recently unveiled a series of incentives to revitalize horse racing and ownership. These included a contribution of A$3000 from the International Equine Air Freight Company to help cover the expenses of flying horses to Malaysia. Additionally, Dato John Lim, Chairman of The Perak Turf Club, announced a subsidy of A$5000 for each horse purchased at the 2YOs sale.
The Selangor Turf Club organized the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YO Sale Trophy race on September 30, 2023, as a prelude to the 2YO in Training Sale in Gold Coast, Australia. Mr. David Chester, the Director of Magic Millions Sales Pty Limited, presented the prizes to the connections of the victorious horse, Malaysia Captain.
