Hollywoodbets Greyville hosts an eight-race programme on the Poly Track this Wednesday which looks to be a highly competitive card.
Mexican Pete could be the closest thing to a banker on the card for majority. The Frank Robinson trained son of Master Of My Fate has been most impressive in his only two starts to date and could remain unbeaten here.
Calvin Habib will now partner him from a reasonably good draw of four, he will now have to raise his game as he takes on stronger opposition compared to his last start in this MR 94 Handicap. The manner in which he demolished his rivals in his last start suggests he could be well ahead of the handicapper and a horse to follow throughout his career.
Possible dangers if there are any, could come in the form of Ice Kingdom from the Paul Lafferty yard with Muzi Yeni aboard. He finished a close up third in his last start and another honest run can expected.
Inafix in race one for trainer Clinton Binda looks the one to beat after making rapid progress in his last start. Richard Fourie has been booked for the ride which speaks volumes.
Victor Rail for trainer Alyson Write has been running consistently however has had many tries. He does have the best draw and could have the run of the race so must be respected.
Dean Kannemeyer saddles Royal Swan Master in race three with jockey Craig Zackey aboard. He once again has a tough draw to negotiate however has scope to go well against this bunch respectively with the 1400m trip being a plus.
Teriyaki for trainer Tony Rivalland is another who has plenty of scope to improve and will love the step up in trip from the best draw. He has made steady progress from one run to next and will get much closer this time.
The in-form Serino Moodley will jump aboard Lady Canton in race four for trainer Paul Lafferty. She is highly rated by her yard and looks to have a huge winning chance here despite the fact she races against the boys. She is in a smallish field of just seven runners so it will be interesting to see the tactics as there should be a good enough pace which will be highly beneficial to her.
The Glen Kotzen trained Famous And Rich looks to be finding his form once again after dropping in the merit ratings. He has been consistently placed in his last two starts and must be respected.
Race six looks a highly competitive race which could produce a big result. The narrow first selection is Stanley Park for trainer Garth Puller. His recent form has been good and he must have a massive chance in this open looking racing.
The value place bet could be Mr Henley from the Tony Rivalland yard with Muzi Yeni aboard. He jumped from the widest gate in his last start so don’t let that run put you off. He has a much better draw now and will quicken up extremely well of a decent tempo. Take note he has dropped in the ratings and could be a good inclusion for exotics.
Porfirio is in the form of his life and goes for his fourth win consecutively with Gavin Lerena aboard who partnered him in his last two victories in race seven. The Kumaran Naidoo trained son of Soft Falling Rain looks very capable of landing in the winner’s box against this field respectively.
Mission Rocks in race eight is holding solid form and looks the horse to beat for trainer Duncan Howells. She has a reasonable draw with the inform Muzi Yeni aboard and could prove to be a decent each way bet in a very tricky race.
