Three-year-olds aplenty are on show at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Tuesday but the better ones are competing in some tough races late in the card.
It is the maidens early on, however, that could be worth putting the money on.
Runners from the yard of Mike Stewart are always a danger at this time of the year and his four-year-old filly Look Forward ran some nice races earlier in the year and on heavy tracks. But she has had some tough draws in her recent runs and with an excellent draw in Race 2 she should get the run of the race and be right there at the finish.
The obvious danger and likely favourite Great Cat showed good improvement when returning from a rest, but the Dynasty filly is probably looking for further to be seen at her best and has an awkward draw for her jockey to overcome.
Pineapplegreenmint is improving with each run and is knocking on the door of late with two recent runner-up finishes.
The Gimmethegreenlight three-year-old filly has been doing her best work late over the 1250m and goes a bit further to 1400 in Race 3.
Jockey Aldo Domeyer lost out on some winners earlier this month when having to be booked off for some of his rides so he will be keen to get her home first.
He is also on the likely Pick 6 banker in Race 4, Ellorix. The Vercingetorix filly only found one better last time out over 1400m at this course and should relish the longer distance of 1800m.
