Werlé. Will attract the lovers of outsiders
11. CIAO MA – Galiway debutante trained by Doris Schoenher, who has engaged Anthony Crastus
to ride the filly. One to note
Summary : Well-bred LA HERENGERE (3) is from a stable that is known to do well with its young
horses, and she could well make a thunderous winning debut. Supplemented MEISHO BONHEUR
(8), whose sister is the useful Worth A Team, may also fight for victory. François Rohaut’s LADY
MANA (6) and Didier Guillemin – whose horses usually run well in events of this ilk – representatives
AL AAMRIYA (1) and TIERCEVILLE (4) are others to keep an eye on.
SELECTIONS
LA HARENGERE (3) – MEISHO BONHEUR (8) – LADY MANA (6) – AL AAMRIYA (1)
R2 – PRIX JEAN CRUSE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. MAROON SIX – Was visually impressive last time out and should be a factor in the finish with a
repeat of that performance
2. AMEDRAS – Too high in the handicaps off current mark but remains undeniably capable of
success at this level
3. SEA OF ASH – Bounced back to form by winning last time and did finish 2nd in his only outing
at this track. Keep safe
4. NORDESTE – Enjoying a good spell, maintaining a good level of form and consistency. Seldom
finishes far off the mark but has only a place chance
5. ROGUE STAR – Has struggled to maintain any form or spark the improvement needed to be
competitive, so is unlikely to trouble the judge
6. SHIELDING – Capable veteran and a winner of nine races. Has looked rejuvenated lately,
winning his last two starts with headgear refitted
7. HURRICANE – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on her best
references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
Summary : AMEDRAS (2) made no impression in a 1600m Quinte+ off this mark last time but did
win impressively at that level over this distance in his previous outing, and on that form is good
value to recapture the winning thread. SEA OF ASH (3) finished 2nd on his only visit to this venue
and ought to play another leading role. MAROON SIX (1) easily accounted for Dar Toungi last time
and is likely to remain competitive. HURRICANE (7) completes the shortlist.
SELECTIONS
AMEDRAS (2) – SEA OF ASH (3) – MAROON SIX (1) – HURRICANE (7)
R3 – PRIX PHILIPPE MARTIN – 3000m (a1 7/8m) – TURF – Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20.000
1. SHEHIYR – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on her best references.
Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
2. HIPODAMO DE MILETO – Made a winning start to the year but failed to confirm when unplaced
last time out. Capable but not reliable
3. SAKURACHAN – Seldom finishes far off the mark and could well get into the picture here though
has no more than a place chance
4. QUICK FLASH – Inconsistent but remains more than capable and should appreciate the step up
in distance. Not taken lightly
5. RUUDJE – Has been enjoying a good run of form recently so will, logically, have his supporters.
Will be competitive
6. BREATH OF FIRE – Unreliable but has sufficient means to play a role in the finish with Marie
Waldhauser, under whom he won last month, back aboard
7. HIGH HOPE – Seldom finishes far off the mark and is closely matched with KIKINE JOLIE (8) on
the form of a recent meeting. Lacks references on deep ground, though
8. KIKINE JOLIE – Runner-up in three of her last five starts, including her most recent outing. Runs
well for her partner, Romain Dubord, so could land the spoils here
9. THE MAGIC MAN – Seldom finishes far off the mark and could well get into the picture here
though has no more than a place chance
10. HARIASA – Has looked rather ordinary for some time now, so her chances are limited even at
this level. Ignore
Summary : KIKINE JOLIE (8) has proven her competitiveness at this level on several occasions
in recent months and, as she is also comfortable in deep ground, is good value to get her head in
front after several near misses recently. RUUDJE (5), who has won three times this year, heads
the list of potential dangers and should fight for victory, which stablemate QUICK FLASH (4) is also
capable of doing. Veteran BREATH OF FIRE (6), with the assistance of his rider’s 1,5kg allowance,
and HIGH HOPE (7) complete the shortlist.
SELECTIONS
KIKINE JOLIE (8) – RUUDJE (5) – QUICK FLASH (4) – BREATH OF FIRE (6)
R4 – PRIX PHILIPPE DU VIVIER – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Handicap – Flat – EUR € 14.000
1. CLEVER ACTRESS – Third over this course and distance last time out and won a claimer in
July. She is capable of fighting out the finish
2. MR SUNSHINE – Third over this distance in a handicap last time out. This looks a tougher race
but is clearly not out of it
3. REMIX – Yet to win a race but was runner-up over this distance in his first handicap and could
one better
4. OLYMPE TEA – Unreliable and has yet to win a race but is best around this distance and is
capable of playing a minor role
5. KHELLE TARTARE – Unreliable and has been a bit of a disappointment this year. Only seventh
last time out and more is needed tow in this race
6. SCHWANENSEE – Won a handicap in March but has completely lost her way since then.
Probably best watched this time
7. MAVALA – Unreliable but returned to form with a handicap win last time out. Carries a 2kg
penalty but can follow up
8. DREAM WORD – Has really struggled since winning over this course and distance in March.
Capable of an upset
9. AGAMEMNON – On a very long losing run but is distance suited and has been in good form of
late. Can contest the finish
10. FIAMELCA DOLOISE – After proving her form in conditional races, she returned to handicaps.
Has been modest in this division but could play a minor role
11. AKINATHOR GAME – Won twice over this distance in 2020 but has only been modest since
then and others are much preferred
12. QUDILLERO – Unreliable since winning in March but was runner-up in a handicap over this
distance last time out and has a winning chance
13. LINSOUMIS – On a very long losing streak. Has struggled in three starts this year and is
probably best watched this time
14. EVINERUDE – Has yet to win after 36 attempts. Well beaten in last two turf runs and seems to
prefer the PSF these days. Others are preferred
15. TERRITORIO – Won a claimer in August but has been heavily raced since. Well beaten in a
handicap last time out and others are preferred
16. LISAYANE – Runner-up on her debut in February but has struggled since. Needs to find a few
lengths to win
Summary : Runner-up on his handicap debut over this distance last time out REMIX (3) should
soon open his winning account. CLEVER ACTRESS (1) ran well over this track and trip last time
out and can do better. AGAMEMNON (9) is consistent and clearly not out of it. MR SUNSHINE (2)
is at home over this distance and should be right there at the finish once again.
