France Form Sheet – 2nd November

Race Preview

R1 – PRIX DES SALVIAS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 23.000

1. CHARLES MORIN – Likely to have come on appreciably with the benefit of an introductory outing
(8th) and will have more to offer. Keep safe
2. GILDED DRAGON – Has acquitted himself competitively in each outings and boasts sound form
references. Should be a factor here
3. SANT’AMBROGIO – Was unplaced on debut but no less than four horses who finished ahead
of him have won since. High on the shortlist
4. NIKKALUOKTA – Has not gone unnoticed in either outing, finishing 6th on debut before
improving to finish 5th last time. Should have more to offer
5. SAIL ON – Showed promise by finishing 2nd on debut and would have gained plenty from that
experience, so should also have more to offer
6. LUCKY BERE – Took a bog step forward to finish 5th last time and ought to continue that
momentum here. Don’t discount
7. TREIZE – Another likely to improve with the benefit of an introductory outing (7th) so is likely ti
fare better here. Respect
8. SHALAA DANCER – Made no impression when finishing 8th on debut but will be wiser to the
task this time around. Can do better
9. HASTA LA VISTA – Finished a modest 6th on debut and, while likely to improve with the benefit
of that experience, is best watched for now
10. ERABLE – Antoine Sanglard-trained two-year-old gelding to be ridden on debut by Aurélien
Lemaitre. Best watched for now

Summary : SANT’AMBROGIO (3) may have finished unplaced on debut in the Prix de Villebon
but the form of that race has been working very well, with no less than four horses to have finished
ahead of him winning since. He will have improved with the benefit of that experience and it could
pay to follow his progress. CHARLES MORIN (1) fared a little better in first start (8th) and would
have come on since, so could fight for victory along with GILDED DRAGON (2) who has the form
and experience to play another leading role here. Christophe Escuder’s runners TREIZE (7) and
LUCKY BERE (6) are others to consider.

SELECTIONS
SANT’AMBROGIO (3) – CHARLES MORIN (1) – GILDED DRAGON (2) – TREIZE (7)

R2 – PRIX DES AZALEES – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 23.000

1. SOKNA – Showed vast improvement when stepped up in trip to finish 2nd last time out and could
continue on an upgrade curve. Should run well
2. VILLA DES ARTS – Finished 8th last time out in a Class two event and will appreciate the drop
back to maiden company where she can find her feet. Winning claims
3. PRIVATE CAVE – Poor performance on debut when finishing 10th and she will need to sharpen
up for her effort here. Would be a surprise winner
4. STARLITZA – Finished last of 8 on debut and a lot more is required at the second time of asking
to get involved. Hard to fancy
5. MALYA – Finished 2nd in her penultimate start which catches the eye and she could put her last
start behind her here. Place chance
6. GALA REAL – Finished a well beaten 7th on debut over 1400m and would need to show huge
improvement to challenge. More needed
7. LAZULITE – Daughter of Karaktar that could do with a few runs under the belt before shaping
up and showing her true ability. One to pass by today
8. THAT’S LIFE – Daughter of Dabirsim out of an unraced mare who could be one to keep an eye
on. Follow for market clues

Summary : VILLA DES ARTS (2) steps up in trip and comes from a form line where the winner
was placed at Group one level next time out. Makes plenty appeal now down in class. SOKNA (1)
put in a solid display last time out and can show more. THAT’S LIFE (8) doesn’t need to be too
special to get involved and warrants a market inspection. MALYA (5) can improve on recent efforts
to get involved.

SELECTIONS
VILLA DES ARTS (2) – SOKNA (1) – THAT’S LIFE (8) – MALYA (5)

R3 – PRIX DE PONT-DE-VIVAUX – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16.000

1. LA SAUZEE – Tried a marathon trip last time out and seemed to handle it well enough by finishing
4th and shouldn’t have any issues dropping in trip. Place chance
2. SYLVER SAMBA – This filly put in a fair performance last time out over 2600m when finishing
4th and brings the right form into this. Should get involved
3. ZOOM CHOP – Consistent sort that is knocking on the door for that next career victory and could
appreciate slightly further. Winning chance
4. PHILIPPE’S GREY – Recent form isn’t the most encouraging and this gelding needs to show a
huge form turn around. Would be a shock winner
5. MISS ROAZHON – Last two starts over 2600m have yielded in a 6th and 7th placed finish which
doesn’t stand out well. Others inspire more confidence
6. TARCENAY – This gelding has won thirteen times in his career and still looks capable of bagging
a race of this nature over an ideal trip. Include in the play
7. KINGSTOWN – His last start was all wrong and is better judged on previous form which is
encouraging given he won two starts back. Include in all bets
8. NISRY – Twenty four start maiden that is currently doing very little to keep supporters interested.
Would be a shock result
9. AMIATA – Far from disgraced when beaten back into 6th position last time out and has been
running well. Each way chance
10. LINSOUMIS – He has had four starts this year and has failed to deliver anything noteworthy
which doesn’t bode well for him. Hard to fancy
11. MARIE D’ARGONNE – Arrives in weak form following an 11th placed effort last time out and
it’s hard to see her getting involved. Easy to pass by

Summary : ZOOM CHOP (3) steps up in trip which will suit and he could get rewarded for his
consistency off late. TARCENAY (6) has done well throughout his lengthy career and could get
involved on best form. AMIATA (9) has been close up in recent performances and should give a
good account of herself. KINGSTOWN (7) has the right from and should be competitive.

SELECTIONS
ZOOM CHOP (3) – TARCENAY (6) – AMIATA (9) – KINGSTOWN (7)

R4 – PRIX DU PARC BORELY – 2400m (a1 1/2m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20.000

1. GLACIER PEAK – Ran a cracker in Class one company last time out when finishing 2nd and
down in class, he looks to be a massive player. One to beat
2. ELECTRON LIBRE – Winless from nine attempts this year but is coming down in the ratings
which could help him show a bit more. Looks to be a place hope
3. AUENWOLF – This gelding finished 4th in a claiming contest last time out and despite being well
held, he could be a lurker. Upset potential
4. ARTURO – Runner up in his last two outings and he is getting closer to another victory which
shouldn’t be far away. Each way chance
5. BREATH OF FIRE – Last win came four starts back but hasn’t been able to deliver anything of
substance which leaves question marks around him. More needed
6. ONARIA – Finished 6th over 2000m last time out and tries the trip for the first time which raises
concerns over whether she will stay. Others inspire more confidence
7. TURANIA – Finished 5th over 3400m last time out and could just struggle to produce similar over
much shorter now. Others preferred
8. GOOD QUESTION – Finished 10th last time out and is battling to recapture some of his more
consistent form. Would be a surprise winner
9. LA YOMOGUINESS – Winner three starts back over 2200m but has failed to produce anything
positive after that. Place claims at best
10. MOKO – Not the most consistent around but a very capable individual that could easily make
her presence felt in a big way. Include in the play
11. SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Eleven starts this year and she hasn’t managed to match the form
that she achieved last year and is struggling at present. Others more persuasive

Summary : GLACIER PEAK (1) produced a brilliant effort against stronger last time out and should
be able to put that experience to good use against these opponents. MOKO (10) has won twice
from her last five outings and isn’t reliable but could pop up here. ELECTRON LIBRE (2) is coming
down to what could be a workable mark so could improve. ARTURO (4) is knocking on the door
and with the right run in transit could go close.

SELECTIONS
GLACIER PEAK (1) – MOKO (10) – ELECTRON LIBRE (2) – ARTURO (4)
