The promising four-year-old, MAGIC TURBO, is expected to continue his ascent through the grades in the 1075m Class 3 contest in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
MAGIC TURBO showcased his true potential on debut with a dominant display, winning by just under seven lengths in a 1200m maiden race on August 6. The Australian-bred gelding faced his only defeat in a Max Two Stakes race before bouncing back with consecutive Class 4 victories.
With a local record of three wins from four starts, MAGIC TURBO will face off against the progressive mare SKYLIGHT, which boasts a similar record and resumes from a short break. Having the advantage of race fitness, MAGIC TURBO is expected to be hard to beat in this weekend’s upgraded competition.
Simlong Beach to relish the Inner Track
The speedy mare, SIMLONG BEACH, is poised to return to her winning form in the 1075m Class 4 contest in KL on Saturday.
SIMLONG BEACH seems to be well-suited back on the inner track (Track Two), where she has an impressive record of three wins from five runs, leading from start to finish on each occasion.
Despite an uncustomary slow at the barrier rise in her last start, resulting in a 4th place finish three weeks ago, she is expected to quickly make amends. In a race lacking early speed, she should be hard to catch.
